A gentle ask: let's bring back "thank you"

I've been thinking about a version of connection I miss.... the one where gratitude wasn't optional, it was automatic. Thanking a friend for the time they gave you. Thanking someone who texted just to check in. Thanking someone who chose to give freely what they could have easily charged for.

Somewhere along the way, a lot of that became expected instead of appreciated. And I think when effort stops being noticed, people quietly start to pull back... not out of resentment, but out of exhaustion.

So here's an invitation, not a call-out: this week, notice who is showing up for you. Who's giving their time, their energy, their presence and say something. Not because you owe it. Because it matters, and because appreciated people keep showing up.
