The Leckie family’s Beth Israel story spans six generations. 💙

This summer, Jackson Leckie joined the volunteer team at BID Plymouth, continuing a family tradition of service that dates back nearly 100 years.

His great-great-great-grandfather, George Orlov, was one of the founders of Beth Israel Hospital. Since then, generations of the family have contributed to the organization — as physicians, philanthropists and now, as a hospital volunteer.

Today, Jackson carries that legacy forward alongside his father, Dr. Steven Leckie, spine surgeon and Medical Staff President at BID Plymouth. 🏥

The first phase of our Emergency Department expansion is now complete! This marks an exciting milestone in a project that will transform emergency care for our region.

The updated space includes expanded exam rooms, a redesigned main lobby and calming, coastal-inspired interiors designed with patients in mind.

A heartfelt thank you to everyone whose generosity helped us exceed our $10 million fundraising goal. 💙

By 2028, the expanded Emergency Department will more than double in size, triple the number of private treatment spaces and provide expanded capacity for behavioral health care — ensuring we're ready to care for our growing community for years to come.
