Plantar Warts are the result of a virus that gets deep into the skin when they are on the bottom of the foot, they are harder to treat as they often build up callous around them. They can often go away on their own, but can stay for several years and can spread. Podiatrists have several options for permanent solutions. The one thing we recommend to all our patients is to not wear the same shoes every day and to use Lysol on an antiviral spray in the shower to prevent spread. when using over-the-counter medication’s is not effective give us a call.
