Celebrating Abbie’s Journey!!

Abbie Cleveland is one of Plymouth’s newest BNAs and is currently continuing her studies to become a CNA!

Abbie’s journey with Miller’s started when she worked in the Dietary Department during high school. It was there that she discovered how much she enjoyed working with older adults and caring for residents.

Today, Abbie loves being part of the team that supports our residents and is passionate about helping them stay healthy and happy.

Thank you, Abbie, for your compassion, dedication, and genuine care for our residents. We are so grateful to have you as part of the Miller’s team!

Robert Reed came to us in mid-July for rehabilitation and has been working hard to regain his strength.

Saturday, August 15, Miller’s Senior Living Communities held our 2nd Alzheimer’s Walk. Anna Corbett did an amazing job organizing the event and making sure that the money raised stays right here in Marshall County.

Even though it was a damp and dreary day, we were grateful for the great turnout and support from our community. Alzheimer’s is a devastating disease that affects so many families, and every step we take together brings us closer to making a difference.

Thank you to everyone who participated, volunteered, donated, and helped make this event possible. We hope to see even more people join us in the fight next year!

Laurie Schauer from The Care Team Hospice held a “car wash” for our residents! Residents went through the sprinkler (with or without water!), and then their wheelchairs and walkers got a good cleaning. It was a beautiful, sunny afternoon for a fun and unique activity!

As we celebrate August as Back-to-School Month, we are highlighting our BNA/CNA class.

Kim Cantero has worked for Miller’s for almost a year in Housekeeping. She started the BNA/CNA training in July. She is studying to become a nurse at Ivy Tech and thought that taking the BNA/CNA training would provide her with valuable “hands-on” experience.

Kim chose healthcare because she enjoys helping people. In her spare time, she likes to cruise around while listening to music.

Thank you, Kim, for the excellent job you have done in Housekeeping, and thank you for the excellent care you are now providing to our residents! You will make a great nurse!

Meet Angie Bradfield, Plymouth’s MDS Coordinator!

Angie has served as Plymouth’s MDS Coordinator for the past nine years. In this important role, she helps guide each resident’s plan of care, bringing together all the details of their needs so our team can provide the best possible care.

Angie’s healthcare career began in 1989 when she started working as a CNA. She went on to become a QMA and, in 2008, earned her RN. Angie has been part of the Miller’s team for 14 years.

Angie chose a career in healthcare because she genuinely cares about people and wants to make a difference in their lives.

Thank you, Angie, for your many years of dedication to our residents and for all the hard work you do each day. We are grateful to have you on the Miller’s team!

Meet Ashlynn, Our In-Service Director!

Ashlynn Householder is the In-Service Director at Miller’s Merry Manor, Plymouth, where she has worked for 2½ years. She began her Miller’s career as a nurse before stepping into her current role.

As In-Service Director, Ashlynn teaches BNA/CNA training and oversees infection control for the facility. Her healthcare journey actually began while she was in high school, when she became a CNA at Miller’s.

Her favorite part of the job is teaching future CNAs and helping more people begin their healthcare careers.

Thank you, Ashlynn, for sharing your knowledge and helping others grow in healthcare. We appreciate all you do!

In celebrating back-to-school, we are featuring Chloe Druzbicki!

Chloe started with Miller’s Merry Manor two years ago, training to become a CNA (Certified Nursing Assistant). After completing her CNA certification, Chloe completed Miller’s QMA (Qualified Medication Aide) training. Chloe has now successfully completed her QMA certification!

Chloe is planning on getting married next summer. She also plans to take additional classes to become a nurse. Chloe loves interacting with the residents, and they love her, too!

Keep up the great work, Chloe! We hope you’ll stay with us once you become a nurse!
