**🌊 Rash of the Day: Swimmer’s Itch 🌊**

Love spending time at the lake this summer? If you notice an itchy, bumpy rash after swimming, you may be experiencing **Swimmer’s Itch** (cercarial dermatitis).

Swimmer’s itch is caused by tiny parasites found in some freshwater lakes and ponds. It’s **not contagious** and usually resolves on its own, but it can be very uncomfortable.

✨ **How to find relief:**
• Rinse off and shower as soon as possible after swimming.
• Apply cool compresses to soothe the skin.
• Use calamine lotion or over-the-counter hydrocortisone cream to help relieve itching.
• Oral antihistamines may also provide relief.

⚠️ If your rash becomes severe, shows signs of infection, or isn’t improving after several days, it’s time to see a dermatologist.
