Changes Are Coming to NH Medicaid β and We're Here to Help You Through Them!
If you or someone in your family relies on NH Medicaid, you may have heard that some changes are on the way. We know news like this can feel unsettling, so we want to share what we know, and remind you that you don't have to figure it out alone.
Here's what's ahead:
ποΈ Starting July 1, 2026 β Some adults in the Granite Advantage program (Medicaid expansion) and some families with children in the Medicaid CHIP program will begin paying a monthly premium, based on income and family size.
π Prescription copays for some enrollees are increasing from $2 to $4 per prescription.
π Late 2026 β Adults in Medicaid expansion will renew their eligibility every 6 months instead of once a year, for renewals scheduled on or after December 31, 2026.
πΌ Coming in the months ahead β New work and community engagement requirements will apply to some enrollees. The state is still finalizing the rules, and you'll be notified directly if they affect you. Details on NHβs intended approach to work requirements should be available by January 2027.
Most important: Your coverage continues as usual right now. These changes haven't taken effect yet, and the state will notify you in advance if anything applies to your situation.
