Every chiropractor has a different philosophy, treatment style, and approach to care. The most important thing is finding one that aligns with 𝙮𝙤𝙪𝙧 goals.

At Poland Chiropractic Clinic, my focus isn’t on making you dependent on care—it’s on helping you become more confident in your body. That means taking the time to understand why you’re hurting, creating a plan that fits your lifestyle, and giving you the tools to keep moving long after you leave the office.

I don’t believe pain means you have to give up the activities you love. Whether it’s lifting, running, golfing, gardening, or simply playing with your kids, my goal is to help you get back to doing those things safely—not avoid them forever.

Because the best treatment plan is the one that helps you live your life, not revolve around appointments. 💪🏼

But if you’re looking for a chiropractor who will:
- Actually listen to what’s going on
- Explain why you’re having pain—not just where it hurts
- Combine adjustments with soft tissue work, rehab, and movement education
- Create a plan that’s specific to YOU instead of a one-size-fits-all approach
- Help you get back to the gym, work, sports, or simply living without pain.....I’d love to help. 🤍

Don’t just take my word for it—here’s what a few patients have said:

⭐️ “I recently started experiencing discomfort in my shoulders and lower back and was recommended Dr. Bodine by a friend. I was immediately impressed by her bedside demeanor and how professional she is. I’ve done a few sessions and I’m already seeing progress in my shoulders and lower back with her adjustments and cupping. If you’ve been considering going to a chiropractor I highly recommend Dr. Bodine. My only regret was waiting so long to schedule that first visit. I won’t go anywhere else now and her prices are quite reasonable.”

⭐️ “I have been coming to Dr. Bodine for a few months now. By trade I am a Personal Trainer and I have a compromised spine from a car accident in 2012. She has helped me tremendously with staying in tune with my routines and through her treatment 2x a month I have seen astonishing results in my lifts and spinal health.”

⭐️ “Dr. Bodine is an excellent Practitioner. She is very thorough and uses the latest in therapies and techniques for treatment. I highly recommend her for acute injuries and for monthly adjustments and check ups.”

Inflammation helps:
✔️ Bring nutrients and immune cells to the injured area
✔️ Start the repair process
✔️ Protect tissues while they recover
In other words… some inflammation is necessary.

What we DON’T want is excessive or prolonged inflammation that limits movement and keeps us stuck in a cycle of pain.

❄️ What about ice?
Ice can be helpful early on to CONTROL swelling and pain so you can continue moving. Remember, pain and swelling are protective mechanisms—they’re your body’s way of telling you to respect the injury, not avoid all movement.

After the first 24–48 hours, however, constantly icing an injury may actually slow down the healing process by reducing the inflammatory response your body needs to repair tissues.

🕒 Acute inflammation = helpful.
📆 Chronic inflammation = problematic.

To help manage chronic inflammation, focus on the basics:
✔️ Prioritize quality nutrition
✔️ Increase omega-3 intake
✔️ Consider turmeric/curcumin
✔️ Get adequate sleep
✔️ Keep moving and exercising
✔️ Avoid prolonged inactivity

The goal isn’t to eliminate inflammation. The goal is to support the right amount of inflammation at the right time.

At the end of the day, healing takes time. There isn’t a magic treatment that can truly “speed up” tissue healing, but you can create an environment that allows your body to heal as efficiently as possible. Give it the building blocks it needs, stay patient, and trust the process.

Your body knows how to heal—𝙨𝙤𝙢𝙚𝙩𝙞𝙢𝙚𝙨 𝙤𝙪𝙧 𝙟𝙤𝙗 𝙞𝙨 𝙨𝙞𝙢𝙥𝙡𝙮 𝙩𝙤 𝙨𝙪𝙥𝙥𝙤𝙧𝙩 𝙞𝙩.

ᴘᴀɪɴ ᴀʟᴏɴᴇ ᴅᴏᴇꜱɴ’ᴛ ᴍᴇᴀꜱᴜʀᴇ ᴘʀᴏɢʀᴇꜱꜱ! ⚠️

If pain is your only scoreboard, you’ll constantly feel like you’re taking two steps forward and one step back.

But healing isn’t linear.

Progress might look like:
✨ Sleeping through the night again
✨ Being able to reach overhead with less restriction
✨ Squatting deeper than you could a month ago
✨ Returning to movements you previously avoided
✨ Lifting heavier weights or tolerating more training volume
✨ Having flare-ups that are less intense or don’t last as long
✨ Feeling more confident in your body

The goal isn’t simply to “make pain disappear.”

The goal is to build a body that is resilient, adaptable, and capable of doing the things you love.

Sometimes pain improves first.
Sometimes strength improves first.
Sometimes confidence improves first.
All of those count as progress. ❤️

Remember: healing isn’t always measured by how you feel today—it’s measured by what you’re able to do over time.

Not sure where to start? Let’s get started together.

ᴛᴏᴘ 5 ʜᴏʀʀᴏʀ ᴍᴏᴠɪᴇꜱ ᴀꜱ ᴀ ᴄʜɪʀᴏᴘʀᴀᴄᴛᴏʀ 👻

The funny thing about this list? Every one of these is based on a real conversation.

The chiropractic profession is one of the most misunderstood in healthcare.

Somewhere along the way, we’ve been taught that pain automatically means damage, that movement is dangerous, and that the answer is always more scans, injections, or surgery.

The reality is that most musculoskeletal pain responds best to a combination of education, movement, exercise, hands-on care, and time.

No, your back usually isn’t “out.”

No, a disc bulge doesn’t automatically mean you’re broken.

No, squats and deadlifts aren’t the enemy.

And no, seeing something on TikTok doesn’t mean it’s the treatment you need.

Good chiropractic care isn’t about chasing cracks or quick fixes. It’s about understanding your goals, evaluating how you move, and creating a plan that helps you get back to doing the things you love with confidence.

Sometimes recurring tightness is your body’s way of telling you that something else needs attention.

As chiropractors, we can help restore movement and open up ranges of motion that may not be moving as well as they should. But that’s only one piece of the puzzle.
Once your body has access to that new range, you have to teach it how to use it.
That’s where strength training comes in.

Strength creates stability. Stability gives your brain confidence to keep using that range of motion. Over time, your body adapts and those new movement patterns become your normal.

Think of an adjustment, soft tissue work, or mobility work as unlocking the door.
Strength training is what teaches your body to walk through it.

Because if you don’t use that new range of motion, your body will often return to what it knows best.

No quick fixes. No magic adjustments. Just helping your body move better, then giving it a reason to stay that way.

Not sure where to start?

That’s exactly what we’re here for.

Whether you need pain relief, improved mobility, or guidance on building strength, we’ll help you create a plan that fits your body and your goals.

ɪ ᴛᴡᴇᴀᴋᴇᴅ ᴍʏ ʙᴀᴄᴋ ᴀᴛ ᴛʜᴇ ɢʏᴍ. 😅

Not exactly ideal when you’re the one guiding people through back pain for a living. BUT, at least you know I’m human too. 🤷🏻‍♀️

The good news? My first thought wasn’t, “I need to stop moving.”

Here’s what I actually did:

✅ Found positions that felt better (not worse)
When pain is acute, I look for “palliative positions”—positions that calm symptoms down rather than aggravate them. For me right now, that’s laying on my stomach and spending some time in extension. Walking feels pretty good too.

Sitting? Definitely not my friend at the moment. 😅

The goal isn’t to force through pain or avoid movement altogether. It’s to find positions and movements that feel better, stay as active as possible, and give the irritation a chance to settle down.

✅ Kept moving
Movement is often medicine. That doesn’t mean I ignored pain or pushed through it. It means I met my body where it was at that day.

Instead of asking, “What can’t I do?” I asked, “What CAN I do today?”

✅ Modified my workouts
I didn’t stop exercising altogether.

I reduced loads, changed movements, shortened workouts, and focused on what felt productive rather than what was programmed.

Fitness isn’t all-or-nothing.

✅ Supported recovery
I prioritized hydration, protein intake, sleep, and stress management.

Your body needs resources to recover. You can’t expect it to perform repairs without giving it the fuel to do so.

✅ Used the same tools I recommend to my patients
Dry needling.
Cupping.
Soft tissue work.
Chiropractic adjustments.
Rehab exercises.

None of these were “magic fixes.” They were tools that helped me stay comfortable and continue moving while my body did what it’s designed to do: heal.

Most importantly...

❌ I didn’t panic.
Pain does not automatically mean damage.

Many acute episodes of back pain improve significantly with time, movement, and appropriate management.

The body is incredibly resilient.

Sometimes the best thing you can do isn’t rest completely—it’s find a way to keep moving forward.

Choosing a chiropractor based solely on who’s cheapest or who accepts your insurance is a lot like choosing sushi based solely on price. It might work out... but it’s probably not the standard you want when it comes to your health.

The better question is: Who is going to take the time to listen, understand your goals, identify the root cause of the problem, and create a plan that helps you get back to living, training, working, and moving the way you want?

The reality is that the cheapest option isn’t always the best value, and insurance coverage doesn’t automatically equal quality care.

Your health deserves more than a quick fix or a rushed appointment. It deserves a provider who is invested in helping you achieve lasting results.

Choose care based on value, experience, trust, and outcomes—not just what’s cheapest or what’s covered. Your body will thank you for it. 😜
