We are proud to present “Filipino California: Art and the Filipino Diaspora.” The exhibition showcases the work of seven contemporary artists working across styles and formats, including paintings, drawings, sculptures, installations, conceptual art, and more. The artists in the exhibit—Eliseo Art Silva, Allison Hueman, Anthony Francisco, Maryrose Cobarrubias Mendoza, Christine Morla, Maria Villote, and Junn Roca—directly and indirectly address issues related to Filipino culture and the Filipino-American experience.

“Filipino California: Art and the Filipino Diaspora” is on view from April 20-September 8, 2024. Join us for the opening reception on Saturday, April 20 from 5-7 PM at Forest Lawn Museum. The FREE event will feature live music by Gingee, a Filipino-American DJ, producer, percussionist, and vocalist. The event will also include complimentary Filipino food and drinks from HiFi Kitchen.

Forest Lawn Museum is proud to present, "Shaping Gravity: Abstract Art Beyond the Picture Plane." The exhibition features the work of 7 contemporary artists: Jen Stark, Molly Larkey, Shane Guffogg, Michelle Jane Lee, Christine Nguyen, Rema Ghuloum, and Sara Ippolito. "Shaping Gravity" includes sculpture, painting, augmented reality, and interactive video projection with artworks ranging from vibrant and kaleidoscopic to serene and meditative. The exhibition is open from Oct 19-March 10.

Join Forest Lawn Museum on October 19 from 5-7 PM for the opening of "Shaping Gravity." The opening reception will include complimentary drinks and hors d’oeuvres, live music, and remarks from the curator. The event is free and open to the public.
