New York State has launched its annual "Drive Sober or Get Pulled Over" enforcement campaign, which runs from August 19, 2026, through Labor Day on September 7, 2026.

Fish can be a healthy choice, but some Hudson River fish may contain harmful chemicals. Check the 2026 fish consumption advice before eating your catch.

🐟 Yellow perch: General: up to 4 meals/month | Sensitive Groups: up to 1
🐟 White sucker: General: up to 1 meal/month | Sensitive Groups: DO NOT EAT
🐟 White perch: General & Sensitive Groups: up to 1 meal/month
🐟 Striped bass: General: up to 4 meals/month | Sensitive Groups: up to 1
🐟 Smallmouth bass: DO NOT EAT
🐟 Carp: DO NOT EAT
🐟 Brown bullhead: General: up to 4 meals/month | Sensitive Groups: up to 1

⚠️ Sensitive groups: People who can become pregnant and are under 50, and children under 15. Everyone else is in the general population.

Did you know - In order to establish and maintain a list of qualified candidates the Rockland County Department of Personnel continuously accepts applications for a variety of civil service positions? Applications are accepted on an on-going basis, exams are held more regularly and candidates are interfiled on established lists once they have participated in and pass a civil service exam for the job title announced.
