Carl Dwayne Brock

Carl Dwayne “Wayne” Brock, 65, of Ponca City, Oklahoma, passed away peacefully on July 29, 2026, surrounded by the love of his family.Wayne was born on October 21, 1960 in Blackwell, Oklahoma. He was raised by his mother and stepfather, Thelma and Buddy Popplewell, and his father and stepmother, Carl and Rosa Lea Brock.On September 22, 1981, Wayne married the love of his life, Barbara Bryant. Together they built a life centered on love, family, and countless cherished memories.Wayne was a proud graduate of Newkirk High School. He spent many years working as a chef’s assistant at the Ponca City Country Club before discovering his talent as a carpenter, a profession in which he took great pride.He found joy in the simple things in life—fishing, hunting with his c**n dogs, playing the guitar, and making memories with those he loved. More than anything, Wayne treasured time spent with his family, especially his beloved grandchildren, who brought him endless happiness.Wayne is survived by his children, Joseph Brock and Nikki Barton an husband Bob Barton. His cherished grandchildren, Kenneth Brock, Matthew Brock, Aubriana Barton, and Lyric Barton; his siblings, Lewis Brock, Carla Pemberton, Lynn Curfman and husband Donnie, and Patricia Wilde; his longtime friend, Rich Trujillo; and many other family members and close friends who will forever cherish his memory.He was preceded in death by his beloved wife, Barbara Brock; his parents, Thelma and Buddy Popplewell and Carl and Rosa Lea Brock; and his infant brother, Danny.In accordance with Wayne’s wishes, no services will be held. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that memorial donations be made to North Central Hospice, 445 Fairview Avenue, Ponca City, Oklahoma, in appreciation for the compassionate care they provided. Also a huge appreciation to all of the amazing staff at Creekside Assisted Living for the last four years of patience and exceptional care.Wayne will be remembered for his kind heart, hardworking spirit, love of music and the outdoors, and above all, the deep love he had for his family. Though he will be deeply missed, his memory will live on in the hearts of all who knew and loved him.

Heather Dawn Biggoose Lance

With hearts both heavy with loss and filled with gratitude for a life so rich in love, laughter, and selfless dedication, we remember Heather Dawn Biggoose Lance, who left this world on July 27, 2026, in Ponca City, Oklahoma. Born on June 17, 1977, Heather’s presence was luminous, and her spirit steadfast—a beacon of joy and solace to all fortunate enough to know her.

Heather’s journey through life was marked by both compassion and resilience. A proud holder of a college degree, she pursued her calling as a licensed nurse for fifteen years. Through her vocation, Heather found her place at the very heart of humanity’s shared experiences—offering care, comfort, and understanding to the suffering and vulnerable. In every patient she encountered, she saw a fellow traveler on life’s path and poured forth her compassion unreservedly.

Far beyond her professional achievements, it was Heather’s warmth of character that drew others near. She possessed the rare gift to lift spirits in moments of doubt, to draw laughter from the depths of sorrow, and to kindle hope where it seemed faintest. To meet Heather was to encounter kindness; to know her, a wellspring of unconditional support and gentle humor. Her laughter resonated in every room she entered, and her smile could brighten the grayest day. She was, above all, loving and caring—her heart open to family, friends, and stranger alike.

Heather’s legacy is most enduringly written in the lives of those who survive her: are her beloved family, and those she cherished such as her brothers, sisters, daughter and sons. Though their names are cradled gently in this remembrance, each was touched by her boundless affection and emboldened by her joy. The circle of loved ones left behind testifies to the breadth of her caring and the countless ways in which she served as a source of strength, reassurance, and laughter.

On July 30, 1864, Arlington National Cemetery was officially established as a final resting place for those who served our nation.

Arquimedes Aguirre Dickinson

Arquimedes Aguirre Dickinson, 84, of Ponca City, Oklahoma, passed away on July 21, 2026, in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma.

Arquimedes was born on March 12, 1942, in Pánuco, Veracruz, Mexico, to Auristel Aguirre Suarez and Teofila Dickinson Guzman. Raised with humble beginnings, he built a life defined by perseverance, hard work, and an unwavering devotion to his family. Through determination and self-discipline, he taught himself to read and write in both English and Spanish, demonstrating the resilience and resourcefulness that would characterize his life.

As a concrete finisher, Arquimedes earned the respect of those around him through his strong work ethic and dedication to his craft. Nothing came easily to him, and everything he achieved was the result of determination, sacrifice, and countless hours of hard work. He willingly made those sacrifices to provide opportunities and a better life for his family, whom he loved deeply.

After coming to the United States, he built a life through hard work and determination, creating a lasting legacy for the generations of his family that followed.

Above all, Arquimedes was a devoted husband, father, grandfather, and great-grandfather. His greatest joy came from the family he helped build, and his legacy lives on through the generations who knew and loved him.

He was preceded in death by his beloved wife, Guadalupe Lujan Aguirre; his son, Auristel "Chito" Aguirre; and his parents, Auristel Aguirre Suarez and Teofila Dickinson Guzman.

He is survived by his children: Jose Aguirre and wife Marilu; Ana Pando and husband Maurilio; Amandi Marquez and husband Ruben; and Peta Trenary.

He is also survived by his grandchildren: Andy Aguirre and wife Kaitlyn; Sylvia Aker and husband Richie; Veronica McWilliams and husband Andy; Julius Aguirre; Donnie McMillin and wife Rita; Teresa Smith and husband Clint; Devin Aguirre; Zachary "Zac" Pando; Trent Goldsmith; Brent Goldsmith and husband Matthew; Luke Trenary; and Mikaela Garrison and husband Caleb.

His cherished great-grandchildren include William "Willie" Aker, Bentley Aker, Boots Aguirre, C**t Aguirre, Cinch Aguirre, Lexis Ortiz, Lileana Ortiz, Landon Ortiz, Lynleigh Ortiz, Elara McMillin, Kenny Smith, Jared Smith, Wade Smith, Harper Goldsmith, Sofia Goldsmith, Huck Goldsmith, Collins Goldsmith, Brooks Garrison, and Selena Garrison.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10:00 a.m. on Friday, July 31, 2026, at St. Mary's Catholic Church, 408 S. 8th Street, Ponca City, Oklahoma. Burial will immediately follow at St. Mary's Catholic Cemetery.

Arquimedes will be remembered for his strength, steadfast determination, and the sacrifices he made to ensure his family was cared for. His example of perseverance, faith, and unconditional love will continue to inspire all who were blessed to know him.

Vickie Lynn Delaney

It is with deep sadness that we announce the passing of Vickie Lynn Delaney who passed away

peacefully on July 23, 2026 at the age of 75.

Born on September 6, 1950 in Ponca City, OK, Vickie lived a life filled with love, kindness,

and devotion to her family and friends. She was known for her compassionate heart, generous

spirit, and unwavering strength. Whether offering a listening ear, sharing a warm meal, or simply

making others smile, she touched the lives of everyone who knew her.

She was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother, sister, and friend whose greatest joy was her

family. She cherished time spent with loved ones and created countless memories that will be

treasured forever. She also enjoyed gardening, playing Bingo with her late husband Richard

and going to the casino on the weekends with her daughter.

She is survived by her daughter Chelsy, stepdaughter Lisa, stepson Clancy as well as

numerous grandchildren, great grandchildren, nieces and nephews. She was preceded in

death by her husband Richard, her parents Edward and Dovie Gildhouse, her brother

Leroy Gildhouse and her daughter Sherese Hilbert.

A viewing will be held on July 28, 2026 at Grace Memorial Chapel in Ponca City, OK.

Family and friends are invited to gather to celebrate her life and honor the lasting impact she

made on so many.

Though our hearts are heavy, we find comfort in the love she shared and the legacy she leaves

behind. She will be deeply missed, forever loved, and never forgotten.
