🌟 Department Head Spotlight – Jordyn Weber, Director of Nursing 🌟

This month, we're excited to spotlight Jordyn Weber, our Director of Nursing! 💙

Jordyn has been part of the Accolade Healthcare of Pontiac family for 2 months and brings 2 years of experience as a DON to our team. In her role, Jordyn works to ensure our residents receive the proper medications and individualized care they need while helping create a warm, home-like environment. She also believes in supporting not only our residents, but their families as well, helping them feel comfortable, informed, and cared for. ❤️

One of Jordyn's favorite parts of being a DON is being able to identify problems, take action, and find solutions. She also loves building relationships with her team and, of course, listening to our residents' stories and getting to know them.

When she's not at work, Jordyn enjoys spending time with her three kids and friends and watching sports. And her secret to keeping up with it all? An Alani Nu! ⚡🥤

We're so excited to have Jordyn as part of our Accolade family and look forward to all the positive things she will bring to our residents, families, and team! 💙👏

⭐ Accolade of the Month – August ⭐

Please join us in congratulating Cliff C., our August Accolade of the Month! 💙

Cliff has been part of the Accolade family for 7 years as a CNA, and his positive attitude and easygoing personality make him such a wonderful part of our team.

Outside of work, Cliff loves spending time with his son, Brandon, who is a full-time student at Illinois State University. The two enjoy watching basketball and football together, as well as watching shows and movies as a family. Cliff also loves spending time with friends—and if you know him, you know he especially enjoys shopping for new gym shoes and clothes! 👟🛍️

Cliff believes in keeping things simple, fun, and light, always doing his best to make the people around him smile and enjoy their day. At Accolade, he loves taking care of our residents, talking with his coworkers, being part of our excellent teamwork, and, of course, making his way over to visit HR! 😊

Thank you, Cliff, for 7 years of dedication, laughter, teamwork, and care. Your positive spirit helps make Accolade a better place for both our residents and our staff. We are so lucky to have you on our team! 💙

We had some extra-special coworkers in the building today! 🥰💼❤️

It was Bring Your Kid to Work Day, and we loved getting to welcome some of our employees’ kiddos into the Accolade family for the day! From making memories to seeing what Mom or Dad does all day, it was a day full of smiles, laughs, and lots of fun. 🥰

We might just have some future Accolade team members on our hands! 😉💙

Recently, we celebrated something truly special for Gabby. 🎓🎉

For years, Gabby has been a valued member of our team, working in dietary as a dietary aide and cook. Along the way, she set a goal for herself—to earn her GED. Through her hard work, determination, and perseverance, she did exactly that! 👏🎓✨

And Gabby didn’t stop there! She is now working as a resident Auxiliary Assistant and will be attending CNA classes as she continues to grow and pursue her goals. 🩺💙

And this celebration was made even more special by having Gabby’s parents there to celebrate with her. Her mom and dad are both members of our Accolade family, making this moment extra special for all of us. 💙🥹

We are so incredibly proud of Gabby and her journey. She is a wonderful reminder that it’s never too late to chase a dream, learn something new, or take the next step. 🥹✨

We were honored to celebrate this accomplishment with her and are so excited to cheer her on in all that comes next! 💙🎉

Sandy came to Accolade Healthcare of Pontiac following a wrist fracture with the goal of regaining her strength, confidence, and independence. Through her hard work and determination she made excellent progress and is now feeling capable and ready to return home.
