It’s been another busy week at Oakdale Skilled Nursing! ❤️

Around here, we take our BINGO pretty seriously—there are prizes to win, after all! 😂 We also cooled off with some delicious root beer floats and enjoyed plenty of time together.

We loved catching one of our therapy moments this week as a resident worked on safely getting in and out of a vehicle—practicing real-life skills that help our residents work toward greater independence. 💪🚗

A big THANK YOU to Preferred Hospice of Dexter, Mo for spending time with us twice this week! They joined us Tuesday for a fun craft and came back Friday with delicious donuts and stayed to visit with our residents. 🍩❤️

Good food, good company, a little friendly competition, and residents working toward their goals—that’s a pretty good week at Oakdale! 🥰

Today, our residents at Oakdale Assisted celebrated National Root Beer Float Day by enjoying this sweet, nostalgic treat together. From the first fizzy sip to the last creamy spoonful, it was the perfect way to cool off, share stories, and enjoy each other’s company.

Sometimes the best meals are the ones requested by our residents! 🥩💙

Today at Oakdale Assisted Living, we made a special request come to life with a delicious steak dinner complete with baked potatoes, fresh cucumber and tomato salad, and a slice of creamy coconut cream pie for dessert. It was a meal filled with great food, wonderful conversations, and plenty of smiles.

A big thank you to our incredible team, who worked together to make this special meal possible. From preparation to serving, everyone’s teamwork and dedication helped create a memorable dining experience for our residents. We love making our residents feel heard, appreciated, and right at home—because it’s the little things that often mean the most. ❤️

There’s nothing better than sharing a great meal with great company! 🍽️❤️

Today, our residents at Oakdale Assisted Living enjoyed a wonderful outing to Myrtle’s, where they were treated to not only delicious food but also exceptional hospitality. The staff was incredibly friendly, helpful, and accommodating, making sure everyone felt welcome and well cared for from the moment we arrived.

A heartfelt thank you to the amazing team at Myrtle’s Place for helping make our outing such a memorable experience. We truly appreciate your kindness and outstanding service!

Thank you to everyone who joined us for our Assisted Living Community Bingo event! We loved seeing so many smiling faces, friendly competition, and community connections.

We are also incredibly grateful for the generous school supply donations we received. 📚✏️ Because of your kindness, local students will head back to school with the tools they need for a successful year.

Events like these remind us how special our community truly is. Thank you for spending time with us, supporting our neighbors, and making a difference. We can’t wait to see you at our next event! 💚💚

🏁 The competition was fierce, the laughs were nonstop, and everyone had a blast at our RC car races!
There were plenty of cheers, friendly rivalries, and big smiles as our residents put their racing skills to the test.

A special thank you to Crown Hospice of Poplar Blufffor joining in on the fun and bringing some delicious snacks for everyone to enjoy. We appreciate you helping make today such a great time! ❤️

It was a great Tuesday in our Skilled Nursing community! 🥪🎉

Our residents enjoyed another Take-Out Tuesday, with this month's favorite stop being Subway. It's always a treat to enjoy a delicious meal together and add a little something special to the week!

We also celebrated our monthly resident birthdays! A big thank you to Abbey with Preferred Hospice of Dexter, Mo for hosting the party with yummy snacks, lots of smiles, and a fun game of Hangman. We appreciate all you do to help make our residents feel celebrated and loved.

Our residents at Oakdale Assisted Living had a blast getting creative during yesterday’s painting activity! 🎨🎈

Using both traditional paintbrushes and balloons, everyone had the chance to experiment with different painting techniques and create one-of-a-kind works of art. The room was filled with colorful creations, laughter, and wonderful conversations as creativity came to life.

Activities like these encourage self-expression, stimulate creativity, and bring joy through shared experiences. We love seeing our residents’ personalities shine through every masterpiece they create!

🎻 Nothing brings people together quite like live bluegrass! Our residents had a wonderful time enjoying a morning of toe-tapping music, smiles, and sweet fellowship. Thank you to this talented group for sharing your gift with the Oakdale family—we hope to see you again soon! 💙🎶
