Spending time on your devices can quickly add up. But small changes can create space for what matters most. Turn screen time into “me time” with simple, screen-free activities.

Try one of these:
• Take a walk outside
• Pray, practice meditation or deep breathing
• Stretch or move your body
• Journal or reflect
• Connect with someone in person

Less “scroll time” and more “soul time” empowers us to be more mindful about our Whole Health.
Which activity will you try?

Over the last 80 years, VA has grown into a national leader in research.

Today, we’re advancing groundbreaking clinical trials, including research into psychedelic‑assisted therapies to transform the future of mental health care.

The Army traces its founding to 1775, with the votes to “raise ten companies of riflemen in Pennsylvania, Maryland and Virginia”, and its Soldiers have continually answered our nation's call.

At VA, we are honored to serve these brave men and women. It is our privilege to provide them, their families, survivors, and caregivers with the best care and services possible. In serving them, we strive to be worthy of the sacrifices they have made on our behalf.

We salute every Soldier—Active, Reserve, and Veteran—thank you for keeping America safe and free.

Our Poplar Bluff and Cape Girardeau facilities have transitioned our Wall Of Valor (WOV) to an electronic WOV. We are having no luck finding many of our WOV honorees &/or next of kin so to return our physical framed photos with writeups. If you know one of these Veterans, their next of kin, or you ARE one; please contact the CDCE office in Poplar Bluff at 573-778-4276 or email them at [email protected] to ensure the physical framed photo and writeup get to where they need to be. Here we have Carl Robuck, Theodore Sawyers and Leonard Shelton. We have many more to come in the future.

Our WOV honorees must have earned an award with valor while in conflict with an enemy. If you would like to obtain a WOV nomination form or know more, please contact the CDCE office noted above.

Women Veterans Recognition Day is not a separate day for women Veterans—it is a tribute to this groundbreaking day when women were acknowledged as essential to the defense of the United States.

Today, there are currently almost two million women Veterans in the United States—and women are the fastest-growing group of Veterans. At VA, we continue to work hard to ensure that they are treated with the respect, dignity, and provide the care and services they have earned.
