A big thank you to VFW Post 2529 in Sandusky. Our first Legacy sponsor of Team VIAC.

Some battles are impossible to explain to someone who hasn’t lived them. At Team VIAC, we understand the weight of PTSD because we’ve carried it ourselves. We stand together, challenge each other, and make sure no veteran has to face it alone.

Veterans we need your help. We are looking for a few volunteers to help us with the Fall campaign.

09/11/2026

Twenty-five years have passed since September 11, 2001. Our country has endured more tragedy, division, war, and hardship since that day, but I still remember it like it was yesterday.

I remember the confusion. The shock. The sadness.

I remember climbing into Black Hawk helicopters in the days that followed, deploying to help secure critical parts of our nation’s defense, not knowing what might come next.

But more than anything, I remember what happened to America.

We came together.

In one of our darkest moments, we witnessed extraordinary courage from ordinary Americans. Firefighters ran into burning buildings. Police officers and first responders ran toward danger. Military personnel answered the call. And aboard Flight 93, passengers and crew—knowing what was at stake, made the decision to fight back.

That is something worth remembering 25 years later.

America has never been defined by whether we get knocked down. We are defined by what we do when we get back up—and by the people willing to stand beside one another when everything is on the line.

So today, I choose to remember not only the tragedy of September 11, but the courage, unity, sacrifice, and determination that followed.

And in the immortal words associated with the courageous Americans aboard Flight 93:

“Let’s Roll”
