With sadness we share news of the passing away of Kelsey Short on Wednesday, August 19, 2026. He was the beloved son of Gracie Hamlin and the late Clyde Moore; brother of Dantay Hamlin, Jeffrey (Keona) Howard and Kim (Ambust) Howard-White; nephew of Herbert (Debbie) Short, Sammy Short, Dennis (Bessie) Short, Jerlean (Tom) Hardges, Mary Miller, Jeanette Jones, Josie (Garlee) Claiborne, Mary (Charles) McCay, Jacqueline Good and the late Johnny L. Hedrick, Sylvester Moore, Mary Jackson, James Kendall Moore, Willie L. Short, Johnny Short, and Ethel J. Love and his heart who he treated as his daughter, Jakyla Johnson.
