During National Skilled Nursing Care Week (May 10-16), we proudly recognized our dedicated team members who bring compassion, creativity, and joy to our residents every day at St. Joseph's place.

The week was filled with fun activities and special moments, including one of our residents’ favorite games — the “Empty Pocket Casino” human slot machine game, bringing laughter and excitement to all involved.

We also want to recognize Activity Aides Jessica Maillet and Stacie Denella for their dedication to maintaining and caring for the Healing Garden each and every day. Their attention, care, and commitment help create a beautiful and peaceful space for our residents to enjoy.

A special thank you as well to The Home Depot in Matamoras, PA for generously donating soil for the garden.

We were honored to welcome Assemblyman Karl Brabenec to St. Joseph’s Place in Port Jervis on Friday, February 13 — “Valentine’s Day Eve.”

During his visit, he delivered handmade Valentine’s Day cards created by local elementary school students, along with festive treats prepared by our Director of Recreation. The heartfelt cards, sweet treats, and warm conversation truly brightened the day for our residents, who appreciated the kindness and the chance to spend time with Assemblyman Brabenec.

Thank you to the students, Assemblyman Brabenec, and our recreation team for helping make this a memorable and meaningful visit for our St. Joseph’s Place community.
