This quote struck me tonight as I have found it be profound, especially when I have time to sit back and reflect on how my wings have developed over the years. They have taught me how to fly to new heights, take on new adventures, guide me through new challenges (ones I did not ask for), and how to be still in the moment before the next breeze passes by and picks me up as the next change of life stirs in the wind.

Have a wonderful day!

For parents who wish to advocate for pediatric care, here is an opportunity Melia shared with us at PRIDE and we agreed to pass this info along.

“We're excited to invite our community to Kitsap's Kids – The Current Landscape of Pediatric Care in Kitsap County this Thursday, July 23, from 6:00–7:30 PM.

This panel discussion will bring together community providers, parents, and advocates to share their experiences and perspectives on the current state of pediatric healthcare in Kitsap County. We'll also hear from local legislators and legislative candidates as they discuss their vision for improving access to care and answer questions about the challenges facing children and families in our community.

Whether you're a parent, healthcare provider, educator, community member, or simply someone who cares about the health and well-being of Kitsap's kids, we hope you'll join us for this important conversation.

URGENT: We need your help now.

We received unexpected news that Washington’s statewide Parent to Parent (P2P) program is at risk of losing its contract as soon as 30 days from now after 45 years of successful operation. This program is a vital resource and we cannot lose it, especially now.

What to do — Tell the Governor to direct DSHS: “We cannot cut Parent to Parent. We must continue the statewide contract so families can keep vital peer support and navigation services.”
