🎗️ A growing lump should never be ignored.

July is Sarcoma Awareness Month, and at Studer Family Children’s Hospital, we're raising awareness of these rare cancers that can develop in the bones or soft tissues, including muscles, fat, blood vessels and other connective tissues. 💙

A growing lump, persistent swelling or ongoing bone pain may be mistaken for a sports injury, growth-related pain or ordinary swelling. While these symptoms do not always mean cancer, they should be evaluated if they don't improve or continue to worsen.

If you have concerns, talk with your child's pediatrician. They can evaluate your child and coordinate imaging or a referral to a pediatric specialist when needed.
