Bilateral hearing loss is highest among men, non-Hispanic Whites, and residents of rural areas, according to a just-published landmark study of hearing loss prevalence in the United States. An interactive map of the study results allows users to see hearing loss rates at state and county levels, and filter by demographics, numbers of audiologists, and more. Find out which states and occupations have the highest and lowest rates of hearing loss.
