Plaquemines Medical Center, in partnership with Plaquemines Primary Care, will host its monthly Healthier Community Series on Thursday, August 13, 2026, from 10:30 AM to 12:30 PM at 27136 Highway 23, Port Sulphur, LA 70083. The topic of discussion will be Disaster and Emergency Preparedness. Attendees can enjoy refreshments, music, informative resources, and giveaways.

As you all prepare for a new school year, we’re proud to continue our tradition of supporting local students by providing backpacks filled with school supplies to help them start the year ready to learn and succeed.

For the past eight years, these events have supported students and families while bringing our community together to celebrate education, opportunity, and a bright future for every child.

Our events will feature:

🌟FREE backpacks and school supplies
🌟Fun for the whole family
🌟Community resources and support
🌟Encouragement for students of all ages
