Due to the power outage, our office is unfortunately still closed. We have been waiting to call patients until the day of your appointments, because we are hoping that power will be restored!
If you have an upcoming appointment, we will call you and let you know if we have power. If you have an appointment that unfortunately had to be cancelled due to the outage, we will work you into the schedule as soon as we can. We will call you as soon as our office is restored and up and running! We look forward to returning to work!!! 😩

Today ends an era in Portage as we say CONGRATULATIONS to our beloved Dr. Kp Cory as he begins his retirement. Dr. Cory has been a staple in Portage for decades, showing what professionalism, humor, and compassion looks like. In a hurried world that we live in, Dr. Cory has always taken the time to catch up and care about each of his patients. His patients have seen him for decades, bringing their children and now even grandchildren to see him as well. He will surely be missed, but don’t worry! Even though he won’t be seeing patients, he will still be seen around the office doing chores and keeping busy!! We all wish him the best retirement. It is certainly well deserved!! 🎈

Please be courteous. This has been our policy for over a year now. This is just a friendly reminder with the new year! Once again we are seeing several patients not confirming appointments and either showing up after they have been cancelled or not showing up at all. We will have to enforce this policy, as we are an extremely busy office with a cancellation list of about 30 folks who would love the opportunity to move up their appointment if a spot became available. Please be aware that we will call to confirm your appointment one week in advance, we also usually make another courtesy call several days before if we have not received a confirmation.
Thank you for your understanding in this matter.

We love our patients, but we need you to be here on time and to confirm your appointment with us when we call you. We will leave you a message, in fact, we call you twice! If we do not get a confirmation call, we will unfortunately have to cancel your appointment. We have had too many patients that do not confirm or no show for their appointments.
If you do not confirm your appointment, your appointment will be cancelled and rescheduled to the next available appointment. Your spot will be filled with a patient on our cancellation list….

It is not fair to our other patients that wait to be seen and to our doctors who do not have spots filled due to no shows.

As always, we appreciate the ongoing support and are happy to serve you.
We would like to remind everyone of our appointment policy:
We do make phone calls one week prior to your appointment. We will leave a message and we will give a second reminder call if we do not get a confirmation the first time we try to call
However, after 2 attempts, if we do not get a confirmation, we will cancel your appointment.
We are an extremely busy office and we have a wait list of over 30 people waiting to get in.
Please remember to take a moment to call us back to confirm your appointment when you receive your call. Telling us you planned on coming to your appointment once you get here is not a prior confirmation!
We never like to have to cancel an appointment, but have had far too many people in the past not confirm and not show up for their set appointments. Therefore, we have created this policy to allow a consent, consistent flow.
Be sure to bring your insurance card as well! Many patients have new insurance this year and may not realize their policy numbers have changed and we cannot bill properly if we do not have proper information!

Cory Eyecare will be a drop off location for Portage School district wide school supply drive!!
You can drop off any donation during our business hours and place in the box located in our lobby. When the box has an adequate amount of donations, they will be taken to the administration building where individual teachers can access what they are in need of…

This donation drive will run throughout the school year.

As the eclipse is nearing on April 8th, we would like to remind you to NEVER look at the sun for any extended period of time. You can find special glasses for the event at several retailers if you choose to watch the eclipse. Sunglasses are not enough protection either!! Your sight is precious
