Eczema Vs Psoriasis, do you know the difference? 🤔

While both can cause red, irritated, and uncomfortable skin, they are very different skin conditions and therefore have vastly different forms of treatment.

Eczema:
• Often causes dry, itchy, sensitive skin
• Commonly appears in skin folds like the elbows or knees
• Flare-ups can be triggered by allergens, stress, or irritants

Psoriasis:
• Typically appears as thick, scaly patches with silvery flakes
• Most commonly found on the scalp, elbows, knees, and lower back
• Caused by an overactive immune response that speeds up skin cell production

Because symptoms can sometimes look similar, getting a professional evaluation is important for proper treatment and long-term skin health!
