We had such a wonderful time playing impromptu nickel bingo! 🥳🎉 We played many rounds—some of us won four times, while others won less or not at all—but everyone had a great time!

There was so much clapping, laughing, smiling, cheering each other on, and congratulating the winners. 🥰 It wasn’t just about winning; it was about being together, having fun, and enjoying each other’s company.

We are so thankful for each and every one of you. ❤️ We are truly blessed to have this time together and to share such wonderful friendships. What a fun and memorable time!

Being creative with art 🎨doesn’t have to mean being extravagant or over-the-top. It can be about simplicity, intention, and personal expression—using color, texture, shape◻️💠 or small details.
Today we did just that by creating something simple and beautiful using our own expression. We wrote our names on paper and then drew over our names covering it with designs such as flowers,🌼🏵🌸 and/or anything we wanted to use or draw. We love to create art our own way, which makes our creations as special and unique as we are❤️

We’re almost ready to wrap up our Senior Olympics week, and today we had a little friendly competition with shuffleboard! 🏅🎉

It looked so easy… but let us tell you, it was NOT! 😂 Sometimes we didn’t push the puck hard enough, even though we thought we did, and it didn’t even score. Other times, we thought we gave it a gentle push, only to watch it go flying right out of bounds! 😆

And then there were those moments when our puck hit the other team’s puck. Being the good sports we are, we just laughed about it!❤️

Fun was definitely had by all, and that’s what Senior Olympics is all about! 🥳

We want to give a very special shout out to David and Sally Waddell for their donation of this shuffle/curling game for all to enjoy here at Heritage House of Portage. You generosity is truly appreciated! We are beyond grateful. 🙏

What a great day! ❤️ We revisited the Portage Elks Club today for their brat fry, and it did not disappoint! 🌭🍔 Their delicious brats and burgers are a favorite, and it’s always wonderful to support such a great organization.

After enjoying our lunch, we headed across the street to the farmers market. This was our second time visiting, and we liked it so much the first time that we just had to come back! 🥰 We saw some of the same wonderful vendors, along with some new ones, too.

There was so much to choose from—hats(which by the way was a favorite which you will see), pet bandanas, purses, sunglasses, jewelry, accessories, flowers, popcorn, 🍿fresh fruits and vegetables, beautiful wood crafts, and so much more! 🛍️🍎🌻

A big thank-you to all of the vendors for the hard work they put into creating and bringing their wonderful items to the market for everyone to enjoy. And thank you to the Portage Chamber of Commerce for always giving our community something amazing and fun to do for all ages! ❤️

It was such an enjoyable day, and we’re already looking forward to coming back again! ☀️😊

Another GREAT day at our Senior Olympics! 🥇🎈

Today we played Balloon Volley with pool noodles, and let’s just say… there were plenty of laughs, lots of fun, and we definitely got a great workout in! 😂💪🎈

After working our bodies, we exercised our minds with some riddles! 🧠 Some were funny, some were obvious, some we just guessed at—and somehow ended up being right! Others had us thinking WAY too hard. 🤔😂 But no matter what, we had so much fun!

One question remains…

🏆 Who will be today’s Gold Medal winner? 🥇

We can’t wait until Friday to find out! Stay tuned! 🎉

🚌❤️ A Wonderful Day Out in the Wisconsin Dells! ❤️🚌

Today we hopped on the bus and headed to Buffalo Phil’s in Wisconsin Dells for a fun afternoon filled with good food, great friends, and lots of laughs! 🍽️😊 And the best part? Our delicious meals were delivered right to our table by a miniature train! 🚂 How fun is that?!

After lunch, we enjoyed a scenic drive around the Dells and through downtown. The drive sparked some wonderful conversations as we reminisced about visiting the Dells with our grandparents, parents, and children. We shared memories of what used to be here—and what wasn’t! 😄 It was such a special time of storytelling, sharing, and remembering together. ❤️

A big THANK YOU to Aspen, our Associate Director, for graciously driving the bus and giving us an amazing tour of the Dells! 🚌👏

Our afternoon adventure continued with a trip to the AMC Theatre in Lake Delton to enjoy a movie together. 🎬🍿 We didn’t get any pictures from the movie because, well… we were too excited to get inside, pick out our seats, and enjoy the show! 😂

What a wonderful afternoon of friendship, fun, reminiscing, and making new memories together! We are so thankful for the opportunity to get out, explore amazing places, and enjoy each other’s company. ❤️

🏅 Senior Olympics Week! 🏅

We’re kicking off Senior Olympics this week, and each day through Friday, we’ll be sharing the exciting events our participants are taking on! Thank you to all who participated!🎉

Today’s event was the Javelin Throw! 🏹 We had three rounds to see if anyone could beat our lead thrower. Who was it, you ask? 🤔

You’ll all have to wait until Friday to find out! 😉 That’s when we’ll hold our awards ceremony and reveal our winners! 🏆

Tomorrow’s competition will be VOLLEYBALL! 🏐

We had so much fun competing today, and we loved seeing such great sportsmanship, encouragement, and smiles throughout the event! ❤️
