This 60-min session will dive into the yogic concept of Santosha from the niyamas, that in short, describes the practice of “contentment” in all of life’s circumstances.
We’ll spend our time defining contentment for ourselves, reflecting on how we relate to discomfort and manage it, and find tangible tools for widening our window of tolerance by identifying and analyzing poses that we find ease and comfort in as a way of carrying those felt sensations/way of being on and off the mat.
Essentially, the hypothesis we’ll explore together through a bit of practice and conversation is: even when circumstances are not ideal, are challenging, or push us to the edge, how can we find contentment, our full pose —if you will— without discounting the hard or giving up on the good that brings growth, and ultimately, sustains hope.

Join us as we cross the pond and head out on retreat to Portugal! Christina & Tizzy lead you on this 5 night, 6 day retreat at a beautifully restored farmhouse property nestled between the mountains and the beach in southern Portugal.
Each day will begin with meditation and reflection, creating space to arrive fully and set an intention for the day ahead, followed by morning yoga and nourishing vegetarian meals. Our evenings will close with a grounding yoga practice, inviting us to slow down and turn inward.
We will cultivate time and space for intentional dedication to our practice, rest for our minds & bodies, reflection on our inner landscapes, and connection to ourselves, one another and the beautiful land upon which we reside.

And that’s a wrap on our July Challenge!
We had SO much fun racking up classes together, putting stars on the sticker chart (deeply satisfying), sweating it out under the disco ball and winning raffle prizes!
Regardless of how many times you got on your mat in July, *we see you* and how you showed up for yourself and in community.

PYC Field Day 2026
We leaned allllll the way into our nostalgia and threw it back to the carefree vibes of the best day of the year. 250 of you rolled through Fitzpatrick Stadium to move our bodies! Tie dye clothes! Make friendship bracelets! Lift canoes! Play lawn games! Kick a soccer ball! And so much more!
Special shout out to our vendors for bringing the fun and the flavor:
Onggi Market & Cafe
Mar Mar Noodle Company
Ope! A Stationery Shop
Health Resonates | Spa + Wellness Maine
Sea Change Yoga
Kindling Collective
Coastal Run Maine
MIA ☯︎ Maine Tattoo Artist
And many many thanks to my beloved team for working hard to pull off the event of the summer. It was a dream to fulfill the vision of a morning of joy and togetherness 💛

Grateful for 5 years of...
team above all
developing a culture of intentionality
being genuinely delighted when you walk in the door
building resiliency in times of challenge
kiddos and puppies bouncing around the studio
cultivating courageous feedback loops
hangouts on the patio that linger long after class ends
fully leaning in, even when...especially when...it’s uncomfortable
staying curious and open to unlearning
it being cool to care
As I always share each year – grateful for what was, what is, and what will be 🙏🏽
Flip through to read the words Tizzy shared in our birthday classes that so beautifully articulate what is on our collective heart 💛

PYC and Kindling Collective are teaming up for a special Pride edition of our monthly Free Q***r Yoga class!
Expect the Free Q***r Yoga class with Hail (they/them) you know and love, with a few extra treats! We’ll have seltzers and snacks from , as well as extra yoga mats for you to borrow and yes, even take home, at the end of the class if you want or need one!
New to Q***r Yoga? Here’s what you can expect:
This slow flow class consists of 60-minutes of gentle movement. It honors q***rness by inviting curiosity, consent and authenticity into our practice. Choice-based instruction will provide options, and more time to set up, to explore the version of a shape that’s right for you. The aim of this offering is a q***r affirming space to move gently (or not) and connect with ourselves and each other (if you want!). Come nap, or flow; chat, or speak to no one; soak up the energy of an exclusively q***r space.
This class is free to attend. Class is taking place at Hinckley Park in South Portland at 5:30pm. Come a bit early to give yourself enough time to park and walk to the field.
