This 60-min session will dive into the yogic concept of Santosha from the niyamas, that in short, describes the practice of “contentment” in all of life’s circumstances.
We’ll spend our time defining contentment for ourselves, reflecting on how we relate to discomfort and manage it, and find tangible tools for widening our window of tolerance by identifying and analyzing poses that we find ease and comfort in as a way of carrying those felt sensations/way of being on and off the mat.
Essentially, the hypothesis we’ll explore together through a bit of practice and conversation is: even when circumstances are not ideal, are challenging, or push us to the edge, how can we find contentment, our full pose —if you will— without discounting the hard or giving up on the good that brings growth, and ultimately, sustains hope.
