Today marks a transformational moment for Providence, Oregon and the future of healthcare.
Phil and Penny Knight have committed $1.1 billion to Providence St. Vincent Medical Center and Providence Heart Institute — one of the largest gifts to a healthcare institution in American history.
This extraordinary investment will help create Oregon’s first hospital dedicated to women’s health, advance the next generation of cardiovascular care and expand innovative support for patients and families across the region.
As Phil Knight shared, “Penny and I have always believed that real breakthroughs come from people willing to take on the toughest challenges.” We are deeply honored by the Knights’ belief in Providence caregivers and our shared commitment to changing what’s possible for communities across Oregon and beyond.
