A breathing exercise that lowers blood pressure as well as meds? Yes please! We just bought one for $65 (plus $15 shipping) from the UK to try it out.

Research finds five to 10 minutes daily of a type of strength training for muscles used in breathing can help anyone reduce or prevent high blood pressure. The training can also help elite athletes.

Was just reading on the upside/downside of alternative sweeteners. Things like stevia and monkfruit, while they MAY help a bit, do not seem to lead to appreciable weight loss or decreased caloric intake. Simply substituting empty calories with no-cal sweeteners is not the best way to see great results.

I think the best way is to gently wean yourself off of sweetened items and high glycemic-index foods, while still making space for the occasional indulgence.
