Here's a different way to think about self-care.
The best kind often removes something instead of adding it.
Not a new practice to fit in.
One less thing to carry through the day.
That might look like lowering the bar on a task that doesn't need your best effort.
Or saying no to one optional thing this week.
Or protecting the small bit of rest you already get, without turning it into a project.
When care subtracts, it survives the days when everything else falls apart.
Because it doesn't ask anything extra of you.
