I caught myself on a run realizing…
I’m not even sure where I just went.
I knew the route, where I turned.
But what did I see? What did I feel?
I couldn’t really tell you. Because I wasn’t there.
I was in my head.
Replaying. Anticipating. Trying to solve something that hadn’t even happened yet.
And then I realized:
I hadn’t heard the birds.
So I stopped.
I opened.
And there they were.
The birds.
The wind through the trees.
My feet hitting the pavement.
The warmth of my body moving.
The whole world happening around and through me while I had been somewhere else entirely.
This is a sneaky thing about overthinking.
Sometimes it looks like productivity, like self-awareness, it can look like trying really hard to make the “right” decision.
Often it’s living from your head instead of inside your life.
Your subconscious mind learns to equate thinking harder with safety.
Analyze. Anticipate. Prepare. Figure it out.
But you can’t think your way into the experience of being alive.
At some point, you have to come back.
Back into your body, into this moment, into the part of you that knows w/o needing to explain itself.
Because we don’t actually want to figure everything out…we really want to experience our lives.
The belly laugh, sun on your shoulders, feel of the ocean, music that moves you before your mind gets involved.
The desire asking you to become someone new.
The wildness, beauty, abundance.
The love.
This life is finite.
I don’t want to spend mine negotiating with every external voice telling me how, when, why, should, shouldn’t, what if…
I want to hear the birds.
And I want you to hear them, too.
Through Subconscious Freedom Coaching + hypnosis, we bridge the gap between what you consciously know and the life you truly want to live.
September only, I’m opening limited space for 1:1 Hypnotherapy Intensives.
In two hours, we go beneath the overthinking, reconnect with your inner knowing, and begin living from a new premise now.
Comment INTENSIVE or message me and I’ll send you the details.
And then…go outside.
Take a breath.
Open yourself to hear the birds.
They’ve been there the whole time. 🕊️
