Unfortunately we have people masquerading as vaccinated and not wearing their masks... further contributing to possible mutations. Something scientifically proven versus hypothetical side effects from a vaccine, compared to guaranteed long term side effects from hospitalization...

I continue to have to trash doses that could have gone to potential patients. 😭

I feel we have vaccinated anyone who wants it at this point. Now it’s time to convince your conspiracy theory friend to help end this pandemic. But I do understand that it’s almost like trying to change someone’s religion - impossible.

The only rare side effect they should really be concern about is anaphylaxis (severe allergic reaction), but only if they have a history of anaphylactic episodes... it doesn’t happen in every patient of mine.

======

My favorite response from these anti-vaxers when they ask, “Well I want to know every ingredient that’s in it... “ uhhh that’s my job... would you also like to go to undergraduate for 4 years and pharmacy school for another 4 as well?¿? 😂 (didn’t think so)

Lucky for us the microchip that was placed in you happen the moment your mother gave birth to you via the Hep B vaccine. You also have a micro chip in your back pocket called a cellular phone?

Doctors can be crazy too. My friend who just graduated OHSU and going into residency for Emergency Medicine metaphorically lost his mind on my birthday...(that day was suppose to be my birthday suit day not a daycare). Anyways I digress and hope that he sees this and we at least remain mutual colleagues.

But on the bright side, as one plummeted, new friends were made.

Stop caring about what others think...

The older you get the more you realize that fear is holding you back from living your life; holding you back from fulfilling your destiny!

You realize later that those people are not thinking about you. They have their own struggles and hardships to worry about.

You are essentially hindering yourself from becoming the best that you can be.

And not caring is true freedom. If I didn’t let go I don’t think I could have become the person I am today.

I had to “attempt” to dive after being stranded at work... (simply happy to be home 🥳)

======

The day started with getting stuck in my Lyft a couple blocks away from home...fortunately I eventually made it.

======

Unfortunately after work I ordered a and for 2 hours with no avail. My last ditch effort was my sister who also got stuck a couple blocks away 😅

======

I knew it was a shot in the dark, but I waited outside target and asked the first person walking out. Luckily she agreed to take me to the closest hotel!

======

Shortly after she decided it would be prudent to take me home. I asked her where she lived (Tualatin), and told her I live too far (1 hour away). Eventually I gave in as I realized I would be stuck there in the morning in the same situation...

======

Let’s STOP and think for a second. A woman giving a ride to a stranger at night in a blizzard, during a pandemic, when she could be nestle at home safely with her family!

Thank you for showing me what little good is left in this world!
