Miss Moonmaker Maine

Miss Moonmaker Maine Relax, unwind, center. Love yourself to the moon and back! My name is Jennifer. I am a fine artist, graphic designer, single Mom, entrepreneur, nature loving gal.

Miss Moonmaker Maine has been in business since 2009 making all natural bath fizzies and salves from all natural ingredients for your self-care and simple luxury indulgence. I grew up in the White Mountains of New Hampshire where I spent the majority of my spare time at the crystal green, mountain fed rivers, basking on the hot granite rocks and soothing in the cool rivers and the soothing sounds

and flow of the water. It was pure heaven. I have lived in Maine now for over 25 years and since then, I now get my inspiration from the ocean. All bodies of water, nature and plants have always been an inspiration to me. Mind, body and soul. I started up Miss Moonmaker in 2009 when my son was just 2 years old. I made my first product "Eucalyptus Soother", for him to use in the tub, as a natural, fun way to ease his frequent chest colds and ease congestion. Since then I became a sole proprietor, women-owned business, a Mom passionate about reminding us all to remember how to treat ourselves with self-love and self-respect, with the main goal of offering up a spa-like experience for your soaking experience as a source of self-centered care. Reminding all of us to take time out for YOU every day, even with little things because, those moments all add up to life. It's a crazy world out there. We work hard and it seems we could go all day 24/7 and not ever have the time. And now more than ever we are separated from Nature with the essence of our very busy lives. We need to MAKE time for ourselves. No one else will do it for you. You are worth at least fifteen or thirty minutes of down time for you - and a steamy soak in the tub, is a truly healing experience known for ages as cleansing, centering, rejuvenating. So grab a glass of tea (or wine) tub side, your favorite book or tunes and and choose your experience selecting from over a dozen luxury bath fizzies, each with their own "experience." Start prioritize YOU -even if it's one bath fizzie at a time. Lock the bathroom door! It's YOU time!

POSITIVE PATIO VIBES: Always a work in progress and always slightly different every season…more tinkering on the patio. I finally got out there and organized a bit more and shined a few things up. The majority of everything you see here are free finds in the side of the road or thrifted and repainted or repurposed.

PEACHY KEEN 🍑 One of the cool things about being a sole-proprietor and working for yourself is you also get to barter! One of my long-term cleaning clients now for ten years, asks me to water their gardens when they go away on vacation and given they live so close, I often don't charge them. Instead, I get to take home my bounty choosings from their garden. This time, "millions of peaches..." slightly unripe, but in a few days they will be delightful. Even though they are small, they are so juicy and sweet when ripe. What would you make with these peaches? I am still pondering this...

HOME SWEET PATIO: My Friday night consists of a good book, a glass of wine, some and the stillness and sounds of the night. The crickets, the birds, the sounds of my fountain. Hard to belive I got a little slice of heaven in this little quiet neighborhood in Portland, but then again, everywhere I go I make it so.

CATCHING THE SUN: I start my day every day, no matter the weather or season with patio time. I am enjoying my cosmos this year and love seeing this one flower catching the sunlight with its petals and how vibrant it has become because of the sun.

That being said, my cosmos have really been taking a hit this summer and I was trying to figure out why they look so ragged and damaged. Come to find out, the yellow finches are really enjoying the seeds this year which I have never seen before in the past especially so close on my patio. I keep cutting back the cosmos as they get damaged and the finches are continuing to enjoy the seeds. It’s fun to watch and I don’t mind!

BLUEBERRY TIDES: NEW LABEL DESIGN! If anyone knows me then know that most of my business, has never been done "by the books" so to speak, in other words, I DO keep a certain amount of personal story behind my business and the products and vendors that I have created or made acquaintances with is on a personal level most always. I have always been "grassroots" that way.

As far as my blueberry this is also true. I got a "cold call" from a vendor in Bar Harbor a number of years ago asking if I had a bath fizzie in my line. And, typical me (typically MOST of us sole proprietors) said, "No I currently do NOT, but I can make you one and see what you think!?"

That was the start of yearly, seasonal orders and PO's that flow into my inbox that help my income and help me survive as a single Mom and business person. Turned out to be a GREAT contact for me, all with starting with making them a custom made prototype of a blueberry bath fizz and them getting to be a part of the creation process, smelling it, testing it and the whole staff getting to weigh in on it. It was so much fun. From that day on... what started out as the "Blueberry Bliss" bath fizz which has been a HIT since then, that has just recently been renamed and rebranded by myself (as I am also my own graphic designer) It is now called, "Blueberry Tides" (as I found "Blueberry Bliss" to be highly overused.

I have been in business since 2009 and little by little I am having a blast rebranding myself, especially the part where it says on the back of my labels, "WOMEN-OWNED COMPANY SINCE 2009." A man recently said to me "why do you have to call it a "Woman-owned company" isn't that racist? Ohhh that's another topic for another day.

Yes, I am woman. Yes, I own my own business and YES, YOU WILL hear me roar!

Thank you all for your belief in my brand! --Miss M.

SUMMER IN MAINE//HUMMINGBIRDS: The s are really loving this plant I got as a late season addition to my patio potted plants. I have not even gotten to plant it yet in a pot and the hummingbirds have already found it. This pretty large hummingbird comes to feed every morning and after it’s had its fill it flies over about a foot from my face and looks straight at me. I missed it though in the video, darn it. He flew just above the frame.

PROPS TO LADIES MAKIN’ IT HAPPEN: As a 100% sole-proprietor for the last 18 years. I’ve been doing two jobs like many of us sole-props, wearing many hats. I’ve been cleaning houses now 16 years and my other business, Miss Moonmaker making all natural since 2010. Sometimes it’s hard to keep it all running smoothly, but we are tough!!! Rosie the Riveter was a fictional character representing many real women, several notable real-life inspirations and models have passed away lately including, Jeanne Gibson on July 29, 2026, I thought it notable to show off my business tee shirt, spired by these hard-working go-getters!!! I wear this as my “uniform” during my cleanings for my other company, “Grit & Gumption.” Thank you all you, “Rosie the Riveters” out there!

Love my patio every season, all kinds of weather, the cats do too…obsessed with this free table I found by the side of the road that used to be brown. A quick fix with white, gloss spray paint made it look shabby chic elegant. “Mum” the cat, got the memo to wear white. Now to decide what I want to plant in my chicken planter.

The Squirrels around here are top notch!!!! They gotta eat too, but man do they take up the real estate on the feeders, but look at their acrobatics! Loving nature just the same.
