Patient Testimony
My surgeon described my right hip procedure before surgery as a high-risk, complex case. The following morning, his words to me were, “One and done. There is nothing left to work with.” I knew going into rehabilitation that an assembly-line approach to physical therapy was not going to be enough for me.
I’ve been receiving physical therapy at NuLife Physical Therapy with Sherry and Les, and what I found there was exactly the opposite. Sherry and Les,developed a treatment plan around my surgery, my limitations, my progress, and my goals. As an occupational therapist, I came into this experience with some knowledge of rehabilitation and recovery, but this time I was the patient—and that perspective has given me an entirely different appreciation for truly individualized care.
Over the months I’ve been at NuLife, I’ve also realized that what I received wasn’t special treatment reserved for a complicated case. It’s how I have watched Sherry and Les treat every person who comes through the door. Treatment is individualized, progress is actually observed, and people are treated like people rather than the next appointment on the schedule.
And that carries beyond the treatment room. Meghan, at the front desk, is part of that experience as well. From the moment you walk in, NuLife feels personal, welcoming, and genuinely invested in the people they serve.
I went there after a complex right hip surgery knowing I had a lot of work ahead of me. I can speak to rehabilitation professionally, but what matters most in this review is what I experience personally: I was listened to, challenged appropriately, supported, and treated as an individual throughout my recovery.
