It doesn’t mean you are a ‘bad’ mom, it doesn’t mean you don’t love your kid.

It means that you are willing to take the time YOU need to take care of YOU. Your children need to see that what you want is important to, so take the time to spend solo, do what you need for you.

Skip the soccer game, skip the gymnastics meet, skip the baseball practice,

If your body or mind is asking for you to take a moment to yourself, tune into that and give yourself what you need. 🧡

The good news about this is…. YOU have the power within you to change.

Though the one thing I know to be true, if you are wanting to ditch overwhelm and the constant mental chatter going on inside your brain for good, you are going to need to do something different.

You are going to need to try something different.

You’ve heard it before, the definition of insanity is doing the same thing over and over again expecting different results.

Last night, after I tucked my daughter into bed, she said:
“Mom, that was so much fun tonight.”

And honestly? That melted my heart.

The funny thing is, what we did wasn’t anything extraordinary.

We grabbed our books.
We grabbed a speaker.
We sat outside making lanyards and reading together.
That’s it.

But it came at the end of a very full season. The summit wrapped up. I hosted a workshop. It’s the last week of school. My husband is traveling for work….its a lot!

A few years ago, I might have spent that evening catching up, overthinking, or convincing myself I didn’t have the energy.

One of the biggest changes I’ve noticed through doing my own work, and one I hear from my clients all the time, is this:

👉We spend less time spiraling.
👉We make decisions faster.
👉We create more capacity for what matters.

So when my daughter asked if I wanted to read and make lanyards with her at 7:30 PM, the answer was an easy YES.

The dishes waited.
The moment didn’t.

As we head into summer, here’s your reminder:

❤️Slow down a little.
❤️Tune into what actually matters most.

👉The things we’ll remember years from now are rarely the things on our to-do list. ❤️

I know some may not want to hear this….

But you have WAY more control over your life than you may think.

The constant hustle. The busyness. The overwhelm. The exhaustion.

All of these ARE A CHOICE.

Now it doesn’t mean it’s easy to shift, because we live in a world that glorifies productivity, doing more, sacrificing yourself. Your health. Your wellbeing. You happiness.

And I know, there’s a way to step away from the overwhelm. Tap into that sense of internal peace and calm and joy and presence —- that’s exactly what I support women with.

Living a life where you’re not ditching the things you love, but rather you learn to live more intentionally to ensure your cup is filled. This is your sign it’s time to Live more in alignment. Live your most rockstar life 🤩

👉 Which for me today meant sneaking out the house before people were awake to start the day on MY terms. To ground myself before the day unfolds, so I have more capacity to show up fully present.
