Going 🩷P🦩I🌷N🎀K🌸 for Breast Cancer Awareness Month!

Our Memphis, TN office is recognizing Breast Cancer Awareness Month this October by sporting all pink outfits.

Established in 1975 by the American Cancer Society, Breast Cancer Awareness Month includes Metastatic Breast Cancer Awareness Day on October 13 and Men's Breast Cancer Awareness Month from October 17-23.

➡️ What is the Future of Healthcare Scholarship (FHS)?

🎓 Program Overview:
The Future of Healthcare Scholarship (FHS) is an initiative that is funded by Maxim's Charitable Foundation. Maxim remains committed to advancing this important program and continues to support and administer the scholarship.

The FHS program is designed to support students who are pursuing education and training in healthcare-related fields. By investing in the development of future healthcare professionals, the program aims to contribute to a stronger, more accessible, and innovative healthcare system.

📝 Eligibility:
The scholarship is open to individuals who are U.S. citizens and are at various stages of their educational and professional journey, including:
1. Recent high school graduates
2. Current college students pursuing a field of study in a clinical field or healthcare-related industry
3. Non-traditional students returning to school to pursue education or training in a clinical field or healthcare-related industry

💸 Award:
The following scholarships are awarded on an annual basis:
1. Two (2) scholarships of $10,000 each
2. Eight (8) scholarships of $3,000 each

Sanfilippo Syndrome, according to the Cleveland Clinic, is a "group of of inherited (genetic) lysosomal storage disorders that mainly affect a child's central nervous system (brain and spinal cord). The U.S. Department of Veterans Affairs (VA) encourages Veterans to participate in the Veteran Buddy Checks program, which promotes reaching out to fellow Veterans through simple phone calls, texts, emails or visits.

These peer-to-peer connections can help reduce feelings of isolation, strengthen mental well-being and connect Veterans with both VA and community-based resources. Sometimes, a simple conversation can make a profound difference in someone's life.

This Su***de Prevention Month, take a moment to check in with the Veterans in your life. A phone call, text message or conversation may provide the support someone needs to take the next step toward hope and healing.
