Manaloa Massage was born out of my deep passion for helping and healing others through the Hawaiian art of Lomi Lomi Massage. I started my own practice because I want to help rid people of their physical and mental burdens. I want to elevate my client's minds, bodies and spirits, allowing them the opportunity to feel revitalized, motivated and empowered to live out their wildest hopes and dreams.

To me, massage isn't a luxury, it is an important gift we give our bodies to say thank you for being my conduit in this life and for all the experiences that go along with living, breathing and moving. My specialty, Lomi Lomi massage, is an ancient healing art form rooted in indigenous Hawaiian healing practices created to harmonize the body, mind and spirit. Lomi is different from conventional relaxation-centered massage and is primarily therapeutic, addressing the many layers of the body with a rhythmic dance of forearm movements and elbow pressure. By pushing slowly and deeply into the tissue of the body Lomi helps to move fluid, increase circulation and lymphatic drainage, stretch and release muscle tightness and melt away stress and tension. It can be utilized to address very specific injuries or areas of pain or as a full-body healing ritual. Lomi Lomi also includes glute work, hip stretches and a stomach massage that helps improve digestion.

What a year it has been. My heart has been breaking for everyone affected by these fires. All the families that have had to leave their homes and all the brave men and women out there risking their lives. My thoughts and prayers are with you all. All this tragedy really makes you see things a bit more clearly on what truly matters, planet earth and all the beautiful people that live here. I believe this is a time for change and growth internally and externally.

Getting the opportunity to stop and smell the Lilacs 💜 Still feeling like this whole thing has been so surreal. My son K and I have been enjoying this time at home. Lots of school work, Xbox, home projects, binge watching shows, long walks, and cleaning..

In a world where we work so much and do so much and somehow still never feels like enough. It has been strange but very healing to be forced to do nothing. Manaloa Massage is officially closed for the time being. I am hopeful we can beat this and get back to things sooner rather than later. Focusing on what really matters and that is time with loved ones. Lots of deep breaths, organizing, and cleaning. Hope to see all your faces in the not so distant future.
