Cyclosporiasis is a foodborne illness caused by the microscopic parasite Cyclospora. Health officials are investigating cases in multiple states, with fresh produce remaining a suspected source in some illnesses. 🥗

Common symptoms may include:
Watery diarrhea
Nausea
Stomach cramps and bloating
Fatigue
Low-grade fever

Symptoms often don't appear until about one week after exposure, and without treatment, they can last for several weeks or even come and go over time.

To help reduce your risk:
Wash your hands before preparing food
Rinse fresh fruits and vegetables under running water
Refrigerate perishable foods promptly
Follow safe food handling practices
