Pierre the Dog stopped by for an impromptu visit this weekend at Sequoia Assisted Living, and our residents were more than happy to welcome him. He brought plenty of smiles, pets, and happy moments with him.

A big thank-you to Julie for sharing Pierre with us. We think he may have made a few new friends during his visit!

Do you have a furry friend who always knows how to make you smile?

Residents at Sequoia Assisted Living in Olympia, Washington, have found a new favorite treat to make in their baking class!

Our residents made strawberry banana poke cake, and it disappeared pretty quickly. Everyone had fun helping with the recipe and, of course, tasting the finished dessert.

Looks like this one might need to become a regular. What dessert should we try next?

Carole Jean at Farmington Square Beaverton Assisted and Memory Care enjoyed trying her hand at pour painting, creating a one-of-a-kind piece that is completely her own. We love seeing our residents try new activities and simply enjoy the moment.

Carole Jean, we think you have a real artist in you!

Residents at Sequoia Assisted Living in Olympia, Washington, had a ball during their exercise tennis activity this week! It was definitely a great workout!

They had so much fun that they told our team, “You have to have this on the calendar every day!”

How do you keep fitness fun?

Our first woodshop activity at Pioneer Village Independent and Assisted Living was a great success! Life Enrichment Assistant, Josh, and resident, Wayne, teamed up to build a beautiful floating island, putting creativity, craftsmanship, and a little teamwork to work.

There’s something pretty satisfying about starting with an idea and ending with something you can actually see and enjoy. We’re looking forward to seeing what they come up with next!

What would you build if you had a woodshop at your fingertips?

You really can’t go wrong with a classic chocolate chip cookie!

Arbors Memory Care residents gathered today with friends to bake one of everyone’s favorite treats. There was plenty of mixing, baking, chatting, and of course, enjoying the finished product.

Warm cookies and good company make for a pretty sweet afternoon. What’s your favorite kind of cookie?

A little paint, some good company, and time to get creative.

Our residents at Arbors Memory Care in Sparks, Nevada, spent part of the day painting with friends, putting those fine motor skills to work while enjoying a relaxing activity together.

What would you paint if you joined us for an afternoon of painting?
