Join me in doing a justice spell [FOR ENTERTAINMENT PURPOSES ONLY] because I think we need to channel our collective grief and rage into something productive (for funzies of course)! 🙃 As a survivor, as a woman, as a human being, the news of yet more predators going unchecked in our society, is triggering, exhausting, rage inducing and...I want to say disappointing but that word barely scratches the surface of the depths of grief we're all feeling. So if you wanna join me in this ritual or simply support by lending your energy and watching, let's come together as a community and not only call in justice but call in healing, support and strength.

One thing I've had to unlearn through my deconstruction, is how normal it was to promise children eternal rewards and eternal consequences before they were even old enough to understand what any of it meant. There's something deeply uncomfortable about asking a kid to make spiritual commitments based on the promise of heaven, the fear of hell, or the approval of the adults around them. I don't think faith, spirituality, or religion are inherently bad. I think people should be free to explore whatever path feels meaningful to them. What feels extra icky to me is how quickly natural curiosity gets replaced with certainty before a kid even has the chance to ask a questions, develop critical thinking skills, or decide what they actually believe. Children deserve room to grow into themselves! I was denied that room. A childs spirituality should belong to them, not to fear, obligation, or promises they were too young to fully understand.

Cord-cuttings aren't just for romantic relationships, they're great for severing ties to old belief systems and versions of yourself. For me, this was the perfect way for me to symbolically clear away any ties to my former life in the church, especially since it was something I was indoctrinated into and not something I chose for myself. The burning of that certificate truly lifted a weight off my shoulders and mind (which reflected in the candles). If you need a cord-cutting done, let me know! There's never a wrong time to do one, so long as you feel ready to release what's been holding you back.

Replying to Using this comment as an example, but as we journey through our own craft and practice, we have to hold space for people whose process looks a little different than our own. What's easy for you might not be easy for someone else for a plethora of reasons we're not privy to. The practice of neurodivergent witches are just as valid as those of a Neurotypical witch. Sometimes our process takes longer because of the unique obstacles we face, but that doesn't invalidate our magic.
