Two years ago, Sarah (Opus Lactation) and I had this idea that we wanted to make it easier for Portland parents to find care providers.

Our respective clients all knew there was help out there for them, but they simply didn’t have the time to make 19 different first appointments, just to get their questions answered.

Y'all know and love this face by now! Doula Olivia is not only the labor doula for the east side, she's our emcee and one of the founders of The Parent Trip. That makes this her 6th event and you want to tune in to hear what she's got to say!

Olivia is a certified labor doula, passionate about supporting any and every kind of birth. Her favorite expression is, “you do you.”
There can be a sense that hiring a doula is a “if/then” statement. IF I hire a doula, THEN I must have an unmedicated birth. IF I hire a doula, THEN I must breastfeed. IF I hire a doula, THEN I must encapsulate my placenta. Olivia is out to break that “if/then.” Instead, she believes IF you want birth support, THEN hire a doula. Period.
