Unfortunately, Mother Nature isn’t quite on board with us tomorrow. 🌧️

With a high chance of rain and temperatures hovering around 45°, we’ve decided to postpone tomorrow morning’s Yoga at the Farm. While we love fresh air and being under the open sky, cold, wet mats and chilly fingers aren’t exactly the experience we’re hoping to create!

Thank you for your understanding. We were looking forward to gathering with you and will keep our fingers crossed for more cooperative weather ahead. Stay cozy, enjoy your Saturday morning, and we’ll see you soon on the farm. Regular studio session at 9:30 is still happening!

We are so excited to bring our seasonal outdoor yoga series to the beautiful Killam & Bassette Farms!
A few quick details:
• Open to everyone — no membership required through Against the Grain Fitness or Rooted Rebel Yoga
• Sign-up ahead of time is appreciated, but not required

• Please arrive 5–10 minutes early so you have time to set your mat up, settle in, and allow class to begin on time
• Please park in the designated yoga parking area down Peas Lane (not directly at the farm stand)
• Cash or Venmo accepted
• Porta potty available on site
A few nature-friendly tips:
• Bring bug spray if desired & lighter colored clothing can help spot any bugs that may have joined you.
• Morning classes should stay cool and comfortable, but sunscreen is always encouraged
• A beach blanket or picnic blanket under your mat adds extra cushion and keeps the creepy crawlies from saying hello
And please stop by the farm stand after class to shop local goodies! Supporting a small yoga studio and local farm means supporting families, dreams, and community, and that truly means the world to us 🤍

Tomorrow’s 5:30 pm yoga at the studio is ON… and guess what?! I checked the forecast and it says NO RAIN!!!!! ☀️🙌

That means open doors, fresh air flowing through the studio, deep breaths, movement, laughter, connection… all my favorite things. Honestly, it just feels good.

Also a little reminder that we are kicking off our Outdoor Summer Series at Killiam & Bassett Farms off of Peas Lane in South Glastonbury! Weather permitting, we’ll meet Saturdays at 8 am for an all-levels gentle flow class. Truly the sweetest way to ease into a summer weekend.

I keep thinking lately how lucky I am to do this work with such amazing humans in such beautiful spaces. From our cozy studio to the fields overlooking the Connecticut River… it all feels pretty magical.

And Chris Bassett… what a gem of a human. Kind, generous, down to earth, community minded, and just joyful to be around. This collaboration feels so natural and so special.

I cannot wait to share these summer mornings with all of you. The farm, the breeze, the river, the movement, the peace… pure bliss 💛

If you needed a sign to get your butt out of bed and into the yoga studio… this is it. You ARE amazing, but you’ll feel even more amazing after an hour of self care, turning off the noise of this past week, tuning in to what the body needs, fully using your breath, letting savasana wash over you, you’ll walk out of there a new human. 🤩 see you on your mats at 9:30 ✌🏼

Hey you… yeah, you.
It’s 90 degrees outside ☀️ and life has probably asked a lot from you already today.

So what are you doing tonight for your nervous system, your body, and your soul?

I know what I’ll be doing… join me✨

Stretching out the stress.
Breathing deeper.
Sweating a little.
Slowing down enough to actually feel present again.

Life moves fast, and I am determined to grab on and hold onto the parts that matter to me. It matters to me that I make memories with my adult children, it matters to me that I spend time with my Dad, his siblings, my cousins and that I bask in the warm, full heart feeling that, that time brings me.
My diagnosis gives me a special vantage point where I don’t need to be reminded how important it is to step away once in a while and fully sink into the moments that matter. That IS the point, living MY life that’s the point.
So there will be no yoga classes this Tuesday or Saturday as I head north to Vermont — a place that has held pieces of my heart since childhood. A few days of family, mountain air, nature, quiet mornings, loud laughter, and celebrating another birthday feels exactly like where I’m meant to be.
I hope this week brings each of you moments that make you feel alive and grounded too. Go where you can exhale a little deeper. Spend time with people who feel like home. Watch the sunset. Sit outside longer than usual. Laugh hard. Rest when you need to.

Life has been full lately…full of beautiful things and moments we want to show up for, but even the good things ask something from us. Yoga helps bring us back to the present moment and recalibrate.

This class is an invitation to slow down, breathe deeply, and refill your cup. Whether Mother’s Day feels joyful, tender, complicated, or somewhere in between, there is space for you here.

Tonight’s class will not be held, and it’s entirely in the name of joy… and living.

I talk often about how the small moments are, the ones that matter. And lately, life has been moving fast, beautiful, full, but fast. With my older daughter just home from college, I’m choosing to press pause… to step off the go-go-go merry-go-round and be fully present with my children.

There will be tacos, in honor of cinco de mayo, laughter, and the kind of time you can’t get back.

So tonight, I am stepping out of the rhythm of doing and into the practice of simply being.

If this lands for you, or even stirs a little resistance, it may be your invitation to pause, too.

I love each and every one of you, I’m so grateful for this community!

I’ll meet you back on your mats Saturday morning at 9:30, refreshed, grounded, and ready to offer you my fullest self.☮️💕
