Most people come in focused on one specific thing β their lips, their forehead, their under-eyes. And that's totally valid.
But here's what I'm always thinking about: the whole face.
Facial balance is the idea that every feature exists in relationship to every other feature. A lip that looks "too big" on one face might be perfectly proportional on another. A forehead that seems prominent might actually be balanced by strong brows and cheekbones.
This is why I don't just treat the area someone points to. I look at the whole picture first.
Sometimes the thing that will make the biggest difference isn't what you came in for. Sometimes adding a little volume to the cheeks makes the under-eyes look less hollow β without touching the under-eyes at all. Sometimes relaxing the jaw changes the entire lower face.
It's not magic. It's just understanding how faces work.
If you've been treating one area and not loving the results, it might be worth having a different kind of conversation.
