The Untamed Herbalist

The Untamed Herbalist Certified trauma informed nervous system practitioner, herbalist and public speaker. Hi, my name is Amrit-Sadhana. I can't wait to work with you.

I am a certified trauma informed nervous system coach and herbalist. I teach people how to heal their nervous system and self regulate so that anxiety is no longer the running voice in their life. The nervous system is the motherboard to the body. Anxiety is the body's natural response to stress and danger. Learning how to see regulate helps you to feel safe in your body and determine the differen

ce between actual present danger and something that feels similar to a danger in the past. Life experiences and extended periods of trauma and stress can take is outside of our "window of tolerance" and we are no longer able to self regulate. I teach you how to do this through evidence-base dead trauma informed modalities, herbalism, mindfulness, etc so you can feel in control of and safe in your own body. If this speaks to you, schedule a discovery call through my website.

The same thing goes for the patriarchy. Someone didn’t like a response I gave them in the comment section of another creator, they came to my page to say that how I responded wasn’t “very healing” and to that I say; what is your definition of healing? Where did you learn that definition. We decenter ytness here. We learn what it looks like and feels like so we can dismantle it. We don’t center it, which means we don’t center ideologies and definitions that are rooted in it. If your definition of healing is responding in a way you deem respectful, that’s just oppression repackaged. Just because you don’t like the way someone responds to you does not mean they are not healing and that fact that we have gotten tot he pint where we are weaponizing healing is wild!

The more we resist dismantling these systems, both within and without ourselves, the longer we contribute to and participate with the harm they cause. Dismantling doesn’t come comfortably, it is uncomfortable as hell (hello shadow work) and that is exactly why I teach nervous system work and why that work is so necessary alongside our deconstruction journeys.

This conversation is nuanced. There are multiple factors at play and it is not for everyone. I hear this narrative that it’s taking the “easy way out” and what I say to that is, for some, it is the only way through and that is not easy. It’s not always an easy decision to make because there is so much stigma. Multiple truths exist around this conversation at the same time but I think it’s an important conversation to have.

It’s also literally nobody’s business how you heal, how you cope, how you navigate the literal hellscape of the world currently. As long as you’re not harming yourself or anyone else, it’s between you and you, and you and your therapist. 💚

When I was about 3 years old and people would ask me who I wanted to be when I grew up, I would say Whitney Houston 🥹

The music of this era was 🤌🏻🤌🏻🤌🏻🤌🏻 and I am so grateful it shaped parts of me.

I can never wrap my head around the “this doesn’t impact me so I don’t care.” Since when did something have to impact you for you to have empathy, understanding and care? AND ALSO it is impacting you. You just hope that it doesn’t get too close to home. It is literally in our back yards. Every day I wonder what else it will take for people to wake up from the virus that is wytness. Do not mistake my words, wytness ≠ wyt people but we are the biggest upholders and beneficiaries and we somehow bought into the lie. Dravon Rangel Leyden posted the other day about how it didn’t have to be like this. How we had so many opportunità to dismantle it, but she hit the bullseye with that. We cannot move on from Nolan Wells until we are given answers. We cannot move on from each l*nching as if it is just another headline. We cannot ignore power outages. We have to wake up.

I have held myself back from so l in of fear. Fear of it not working out, fear what people will think of me, fear of what I will think of Khalid. Fear of losing but you can’t lose what you don’t take a risk on. You can’t lose if you don’t play at all… but then again you can’t win either.

Shenikka Moore-Clarke, MSW, LICSW and I created Embodied Liberation Collective because we wanted something we haven’t seen before. We wanted a space for healers, therapists and coaches who are committed to our liberation. A space where we can share in the challenges, the joys, the grief, the things that are unique to a field where we hold space for others and from that desire we have birthday this beautiful platform and community.

Doors are officially open for enrollment and form now to 9/7 when you enroll, you will get a 7 day trial to check out all we have to offer. We can’t wait to welcome you! To dance with you! Write with you! And commune on this path of liberation and healing. Comment COMMUNITY for the link 💚

Every time I see one, I take a deep breath before opening the comments because at this point I’m convinced we enjoy the humiliation of it.

It’s ok to look your age. Some of us age differently than our melinates brothers and sisters and that ok. Some of us don’t have the look of youth on our side and that’s ok. This obsession with looking younger than we are is also very odd so I am begging my bland brethren to not make these videos anymore because it rarely gives what we are trying to give and we end up with our feelings hurt when we didn’t need to make the videos in the first place.
