we just got back from the International Sauna Congress in Oslo and we have a lot to say. 🔥🌊
it all opened in Oslo City Hall in the same room where the Nobel Peace Prize is handed out and left us with our favorite line of the trip: “there’s no war in a sauna.”
about 500 sauna people from around the world spent three days on culture, health, architecture and the future of the waterfront.
Oslo, Copenhagen, Paris, Helsinki and Melbourne are all using saunas to bring people back to the water.
once saunas show up on a waterfront, everything follows:
the robes, the community, the music, the food, the swimmers. city leaders who started out skeptical came around once they saw it.
