For National Gay Men’s HIV/AIDS Awareness Day, we’re recognizing the power of visibility and continuing the work to end HIV stigma.

Billy Porter lived with HIV privately for 14 years before publicly sharing his status in 2021. Since then, he has continued using his platform to advocate for people living with HIV and challenge the stigma that can keep people silent.

At Prism Health, we want our community to know that HIV prevention, testing, treatment, and affirming care are available.

Get tested. Explore PrEP. Find care.

Prevention starts with access. Care goes beyond the exam room. ❤️

More than 4,600 people were served at Prism Health, while thousands more connected with HIV testing, PrEP navigation, housing, food assistance, social support, benefits navigation, residential care, and other services across CAP Northwest.

AIDS Walk Northwest helps support this broader network of care across Oregon and Southwest Washington.

You can also support this work year-round. Become a monthly donor and receive the exclusive All Walks of Life donor pin as a thank you for your ongoing support.

PrEP protects before. PEP protects after.

Both are important tools for HIV prevention, but knowing when to use them matters. PrEP can provide ongoing protection from HIV, while PEP is an emergency option that must be started within 72 hours after a possible exposure.

Not sure which option is right for you? PRISM Health is here to help.

We have some really good news to celebrate! 🎉

Prism Health has been named Best Health Clinic and Best Doctor’s Office in Willamette Week’s 2026 Best of Portland Readers’ Poll. We are especially proud to be named Best Health Clinic for the second year in a row.
Prism was created to meet the evolving care needs of our LGBTQ+ community and beyond. Today, we’re proud to be a place where everyone can receive comprehensive, compassionate, and culturally affirming care in an atmosphere that feels safe and welcoming.

Whether someone comes to us for a health screening, STI testing, or another care need, our goal is the same: listen to each patient, respect their choices, and help close the gaps that have kept too many people from the care they deserve.

To our patients, our wonderful team, and everyone who voted, thank you. This celebration belongs to you, too. 💜

Thank you Willamette Week

We're now CAP Northwest. 💙

Our new name brings together everything we do under one organization: healthcare, HIV services, housing, prevention, and community support.
While our name is changing, the people, programs, and care you know remain exactly the same. Our commitment to HIV is as strong as it's ever been, and we'll continue showing up for our communities every day.

CAP has always meant Caring About People, and that commitment remains at the heart of everything we do.

Thank you for being part of our community as we begin this next chapter together.
