It’s hard to choose just 20 🤩😍🥹

This woman has been central to everything YoYo for the past 5 years.

Friend, Teacher, Mentor, Confidant, Cheerleader, Inspirer, Student, Leader, Seeker.

Her impact wide and deep. Her lessons lasting. Her intentions honest and pure. We’ve all benefitted from her words, heart and presence.

We hope you can join us in celebrating Chera and all she’s meant to this community on the Summer Solstice—June 21st @ 1015a—just days before her birthday!

We’ll begin with Chera’s final offering and end with a big ol’ party, YoYo style. We’re keepin’ the details 🤫 but we guarantee a nostalgic good ol’ MAD LOVE send off before she heads to Austin, TX to finish her Doctorate in Psychology.

This group 🥹🥹🥹 They started out as strangers and ended soul sisters and brothers.

Yesterday wrapped the final weekend of teacher training. It was heavy and inspiring, A LOT in all the ways that make you feel alive.

Next time we all gather, student will become teacher, and teacher student. Each of these incredible individuals will teach their very first yoga class and WE. CANNOT. WAIT. to learn from them.

Will miss our weekly gatherings so very much yet can’t wait to watch you launch 🚀

Our final sit together 🧘📿🥰

For the last 4 weeks, we gathered to pause, connect and meditate under the guidance of our beloved teacher,

We learned how to anchor in the breath & body; work with difficult emotions; noting & neutralizing repetitive thought patterns; utilizing walking as an access point to a meditative state; how to cultivate a metta (loving kindness) practice and more!

‘Mindfulness Lab’ is designed as an experiential journey to move from autopilot into a life of conscious connection ✨ a laboratory where we experiment with techniques to deepen our awareness of ourselves and the world.

Starting May 26, we’ll be kicking off Mindfulness Lab 2.0 for all 200hr certified yoga teachers. It’ll run (4) Tuesdays through June 16 from 430-6p.

This is a completely FREE offering. We are looking for at least 8 people who can commit to the full series.

Your participation will support Mari in her completion of a 2 year Mindfulness and Meditation Teacher Certification Program, which is guided by the teachings of renowned Buddhist teachers, Tara Brach and Jack Kornfield.

Yes, yes you heard me right 📣, 🆓 🆓 🆓

Soul Shakin’ has always been a communal endeavor, our Sunday morning ‘church’, a camaraderie amongst seekers.

And now—in conjunction with the neighborhood association—we’re bringin’ that MAD LOVE energy to the newly reopened Fields Park in an effort to revitalize our beloved Pearl district.

It’s been 11 years since we gathered to lay down our mats on this expansive green grass under the big bright blue sky.

And while much has changed since 2015 for both this community and the world, some things remain steadfast and true.

We’re still here holding space for one another helping each other rise…

We still love this neighborhood that we call Home…

And we still love our ourselves some Soul Shakin’ Yoga with the one and only Alex Cole!

So grab yo!friends, family, strangers (even yo!foe 😆) and let’s do what YoYos do best: SHOW UP in togetherness and breathe some life back into this gem in the city. 💎🌇

YoYos, we present to you (most of) our 300hr Teacher Training graduates! 💥🐍🪷

So much power in one snap 📸 Hard to come up with words that do justice to the effort, love and passion this group right here has poured into their practice and teachings these past 2 years.

I look at these faces and feel grateful they are the ones carrying forth the teaching torch 💫 The ripples are real.

I see individuals who expanded their offerings and belief in themselves; who brought yoga to populations that otherwise are left out; who found the courage to lead, create and step into their own power.

This advanced training requires immense commitment over the course of many many months. It’s the kind of dedication that demands you are all in no matter what is happening in daily life. It’s self-guided nature builds self-trust and reliancy, a knowingness that you can do hard things. ❤️‍🔥

Their effort magnanimous 🌀their impact deep.

In a society where individualism is celebrated above all else, these individuals charted a course where self-development is in service to the betterment of the whole.

I hope each of you are proud of all you’ve accomplished. We stand with bated breath to see where you take it next.
