This week we celebrated the AMAZING career of Miriam Pelletier, RN, our Director of Nurses, as she wound down her time at Edgewood and headed into a well-deserved retirement! With 29 years of service at Edgewood, Miriam well exceeded the average tenure of a Director Nurses in a long-term care facility which stands at just over 3 years. A true testament to Miriam's dedication, loyalty and most of all love for our elders! Miriam's legacy will extend well beyond her time here as she impacted many with her thoughtful approach to patient care, knowledge of nursing practice, mentoring, and most of all her kindness. In honor of Miriam, all are encouraged to live by her creed - "There is always room for kindness in every situation." On behalf of our residents, staff and families - past, present and future - Thank you Miriam Pelletier, RN, DNS!

Yesterday we had another amazing adventure with Seacoast Wheelers! Our residents enjoyed a beautiful ride through the Seacoast, taking in the local scenery and fresh air along the way. We were especially grateful that the rain held off until the afternoon, making for a perfect outing. A big thank you to Seacoast Wheelers for helping create another wonderful day.

We had an amazing afternoon with 3 Shades of Gray during their first (of hopefully many!) performance at Edgewood! 🎶

The Dining Room was rockin' and rollin' with a vast set list that had something for everyone, from 1950s sock hop favorites to "Sweet Caroline" (Go Sox! ⚾) and everything in between. We had a full house of happy residents, family members, and friends singing along, tapping their feet, and enjoying a wonderful afternoon together.

June Resident of the Month - Larry!

Larry was nominated for his fun-loving spirit, positive attitude, and the joy he brings to those around him. Many at Edgewood know Larry for his pride in his heritage and his love of sharing songs from his past. He enjoys teaching others about the history, culture, and stories behind the music he loves.

Originally from the Boston area, Larry enjoys reminiscing about his life experiences and sharing memories. He loves spending time with his family, talking about animals, singing, and engaging in good conversation with anyone willing to chat. Be sure to congratulate him next time you see him!
