Great job, Dr. Courtney Ruggles!

As director of the Bachelor of Social Work program, Dr. Courtney Ruggles is using research and community partnerships to help shape what students will learn from day one. By working with regional agencies, she’s identifying real workforce needs in areas like behavioral health, substance use treatment, and crisis response—and building those priorities into the program.

She recently presented this work at a national conference in New Orleans, sharing how Shawnee State is developing a program designed for real-world impact.

Hopesource currently has a full-time opening for a case manager in our women's outpatient program. The primary duties include assessment of needs, assistance with insurance enrollment, scheduling, tracking and transportation to appointments with courts, healthcare providers and other community resources, and documentation of services in the clinical record. This position primarily serves women in our supportive housing location but may provide assistance to other programs as needed. The successful candidate must be highly organized and have strong communication skills, both verbal and written. CDCA certification, a valid driver's license, and ability to be insured under the agency’s fleet policy are required. Hopesource offers competitive pay and benefits. Pay is commensurate with experience but not less than $16/hr. Hours are Monday through Friday 8am to 5pm. If interested, please email a resume to [email protected].
