Larry Cockrell

Larry Lee Cockrell, age 84, of Greenfield, passed away peacefully on Friday, September 11, 2026, with his family by his bedside. Born on September 4, 1942, in New Boston, he was a son of the late Lowell and Myrtle Fitch Cockrell.

Larry was the Pastor of the Peach Mountain Church and a retired general manager for the Highland County Water.

He was also preceded in death by his wife, Pamela Hawes Cockrell; a brother, Lanny Cockrell; two sisters, Sharon Newman and Rosemary Aeh and a son-in-law, Bradley Sweazy.

Surviving are two daughters Beth Sweazy and Deann (Price) Gammon; a sister, Lelia Copas; six grandchildren, Jeremy Gammon, Danielle Gammon, Kayla (Caleb) Quigley, Kiersten (Isaac) Abare, Jeremy Sweazy and Jason (Kristina) Sweazy and five great-grandchildren, Beaux, Baker, August, Elia and Alice.

A private burial will be held at Sunset Memorial Gardens.

A Celebration of Life will be held on October 3rd at Noon at 10391 Stewart Road, Greenfield, OH 45123.

At the family’s request, memorial donations may be made to Peach Mountain Church.

Arrangements are under the direction of the Brant Preston Funeral Service.

Henry Robert Wesley Brown

Henry Robert Wesley Brown, age 85, of West Jefferson, passed peacefully at his home, surrounded by his family on September 3, 2026. Born on July 24, 1941, in Portsmouth, he was a son of the late Charles and Laura Cooper Brown, was a graduate of Portsmouth East High School and was an Army National Guard veteran.

Henry was preceded in death by his wife, Janet Brown; sisters, Ramona Chamberlin and Judy Johnson; a stepson, Christopher Boggs; and granddaughter, Natasha Brown.

He is survived by his wife, Sue Eagleson Brown, and her granddaughters, Nadia (Dustin) Trevio and Kenzie Boggs; his children, Robert W. (Ann) Brown; Roger W. (Vicki) Brown; Richard L. Brown; Kristina Pinkerman; Becky (Mark) Campbell; Shari (John) Patterson; Sandy (Jeff) Bargdill and Stephanie Rookstool; brothers-in-law, Robert Chamberlin and Ray Johnson; twenty-two grandchildren and thiry-seven great-grandchildren.

Henry retired from COTA after 25 years of dedicated service. He was an avid automobile collector and took great pride in his collection. He enjoyed fishing in his pond, mowing his lawn, and riding motorcycles. Henry was always the jokester, bringing laughter and smiles to those around him. Above all, he cherished the time he spent with his family and created many lasting memories with those he loved. A Celebration of Bud’s life will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Wednesday, September 9, 2026, at the Brant Preston Funeral Home in Sciotoville, officiated by Dr. Robert W. Brown. Interment will follow at Memorial Burial Park. Friends and family are invited to gather on Wednesday, September 9th, from 11:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. at the funeral home.
