Dear Community Members,
I am writing to share an update regarding Culture2Culture Peer Support Services and to request your assistance in finding a new home for our organization.
Our current location at 100/112 S. Centre St. in Pottsville was recently purchased by Metz Properties. While we are grateful that the new owner, Bill Metzinger, has provided us with 90 days to relocate, transitioning a state-licensed health business on such short notice is a significant challenge.Please don't post anything derogatory about the new owner. He has been very fair with allowing us 90 days.
Hyman properties did not inform us of this pending sale and posted a 30 day eviction notice on our door late last week. Sorry, but I didnt think that was a professional way to treat a loyal tenant.
Culture2Culture has been a dedicated tenant in this building since 2021.
We invested considerable time and resources into creating a safe, welcoming environment for those in our community struggling with personal wellness. Despite our history as reliable tenants and our recent efforts to purchase the building ourselves, the previous owners, Hyman Properties, sold the location without providing us the opportunity to counter the offer or giving us prior notice of the sale.
We are now searching for a new space to rent or purchase at a reasonable price so we can continue providing these essential services. We require a fairly large facility to recreate the environment our members depend on. Unfortunately, current market listings have not yet met our specific needs.
