In advance of scheduling presentations for students, NAMI Mid-Hudson presented Ending the Silence to this group on Friday, May 15th 2026.

Helen shared, “It was a great presentation! Both presenters are very skilled, and having a youth presenter is a wonderful model. There’s nothing I like better than peer-to-peer work. I would love to have the presentation for our youth program participants.”

Thank you for welcoming us. We look forward to collaborating further and continuing to work together to support youth mental health awareness and education.

To all of the volunteers, sponsors, community partners, teams, donors, and walkers who showed up for NAMIWalks Mid-Hudson on Saturday, May 16—thank you. We are so deeply grateful for each and every one of you.
Together, in solidarity, hope, and community, we created something truly meaningful. From the incredible energy and connection shared throughout the day to the overwhelming support for mental health awareness, education, advocacy, and support—this was a beautiful reminder that no one has to face mental health challenges alone.
And while the walk may be over, there’s still time to get involved. 💚 Fundraising continues through June 16, and every contribution helps support NAMI Mid-Hudson’s free mental health programs and services throughout Dutchess and Ulster Counties. Your support would mean so much to us.
Thank you for WALKING alongside us and helping build a more compassionate and connected community. 💚

Join us for these two upcoming Ulster county events!

National Alliance on Mental Illness (NAMI) "Ending the Silence" (ETS) is a presentation available to the community. ETS engages participants in a discussion about mental health which includes early warning signs of mental health conditions and signs of su***de. Participants learn how to help themselves, friends or family members who may need support by learning about resources that are available. Positive coping strategies are emphasized. The main messages include “It’s OK to not be OK” and “There is No Health Without Mental Health!” This presentation helps raise awareness and change perceptions around mental health conditions.

As we welcome March and recognize Women’s Health Month, we are reminded of the importance of caring for ourselves with the same compassion we offer others. Women often serve as the heart of families and communities, yet their own well-being can sometimes come last.

Prioritizing mental and emotional health is not selfish—it is essential.

When we care for ourselves, we strengthen our capacity to support those we love and help build healthier, more compassionate communities.

At NAMI Mid-Hudson, we are committed to supporting the mental health and well-being of women, families, and individuals across Dutchess and Ulster Counties. Below are a few ways you can connect, learn, and find support in the month ahead. 💗
