🇹🇿 Behind every successful humanitarian global outreach trip is more than just surgery.

This past week, Dr. Abraham led a multidisciplinary team providing specialized facial plastic surgery care while also sharing knowledge through surgical education and collaboration.

Located on the shores of Lake Victoria, Bugando Medical Centre is a tertiary referral care center serving a population of more than 23 million people which includes one third of the Tanzania population as well as neighboring countries.

This effort was made possible through the partnership of Healing the Children Northeast, Bugando Medical Centre, and the AAFPRS humanitarian FACE TO FACE program, along with the dedication of numerous surgeons, anesthesiologists, nurses, surgical technicians, speech and language pathologists, administrators, and local healthcare professionals.
